The Best Overall Team (Unofficial)

Ok, so far here is the Vote. Punishment, dont you see that having some original choices will give us the Best Overall Team. The whole way people make teams is to try to predict what pokemon the other person will use, and then put pokemon in their team to counter those pokemon. If we have a somewhat original team, that will make it more difficult for the enemy to predict my moves.

Def Dusk- 3

Attack Dusk- 1

Remove Dusk- 1

I just want to remind everyone here that majority rules. I leave the vote open for anyone else who thinks we should change, but for now we are going to stick with Def. Dusk. Now would be a good time to discuss Togekiss's Moveset, since Mr.May16 brings it up. Post your choice for how the Togekiss should be set up.

I vote for Def. Dusk

My Togekiss looks like this, keep in mind though that my Electivire and Toekiss are my only EV trained pokemon so I try and make there stats more versatile.

Modest nature
I prefer Serene Grace myself.
Ev's 252 Sp. Atk/Sp. Def, Hp, Speed?????
Air Slash
Aura Sphere
Shadow Ball/Nasty Plot
Magical Leaf

I personally use Shadow Ball because combined that move pool has advantages over 12 different Types. (Water, Ground, Rock, Normal, Ice, Dark, Steel, Psychic, Ghost, Grass, Fighting, Bug)

I dont like maxing his Sp.Attack since he already has a lot of it. If we use Thunder Wave, then we may not have to use EV's on speed.

I guess it really depends on your overall stategy. And with Shadow Ball I think a lot of people look at his resistance to Ghost attacks, so they like to send him out against ghost.
I put it in because i wanted to cover the most Types possible.

Arg. I cant decide between Shadow Ball and Thunder Wave. I will keep the one i use for my own team with Thunder Wave, but this one on our team could use Shadow Ball. What do you other people say? Most of them are off line probably.

well what i would do is give it thunder wave because if it has serene grace and is holding kings rock and u use air slash it has a high chance of flinching the foe, and with the foe being paralyzed it would have a tough time pulling off an attack

Well, she is playing a sweeper, is she not?

Im not sure. I want her to be able to Flinch and Sweep, we can do that, right?

Eh, why not. BTW, where to catch Togepi?

Vainz why wouldnt you want ot max out Togekiss' insane Special Attack? We want as much firepower possible to sweep.

Originality didnt exactly help us out on our first teams as much people tried avoiding using Pokemon they were biased against. Yet we use Metagross, Salamence and Milotic.

EV spreads for Togekiss with a Timid Nature:

252 Sp. Atk / 180 HP / 78 Spd or
252 Sp. Atk / 200 Spd / 58 HP

I am beginning to frown upon Salamence a bit as I am beginning to see Garchomp as the superoir dragon. Why?

Salamence does have slightly more attack power, but Garchomp has more speed and can learn Outrage, and gets STAB from Earthquake. Not to mention he is part ground and has electrical immunity. I'd like the team to have one Pokemon that cna nullify as much moves as possible.

Electrivire cancels out electricity, as no one will be dumb enough to electrocute him anyway. I like Garchomp as well. Also, ya'll are gonna have to argue on Togekiss, I don't use it much. When you've decided, I wanna train it for the team.

I just started EV training my personal team. Should I record the EV's recieved per battle?

Ok. I never said our whole team would be original. That would be stupid. But a few original choices will make the enemy less ready for us. Our first team wasnt bad because it was orignial, it was bad because of the weaknesses. You are right when you say that we need all the fire power we can get. But i think Maxing its Speed is
more important. Plus we already have Nasty Plot for High Sp.Attack.

Togekiss@ Wise Glasses
EV's Speed- 252, Sp.Attack- 200, HP- 58
Timid
-Aura Sphere
-Air Slash
-Shadow Ball/ Thunder Wave
-Nasty Plot

So are we going with that? It seems adequate for me.

I thought we were going for paraflinch with high def and roost?

I think we changed her into a Sp. Sweeper, and set up for a flinch.
How about this for EV's. Sorrry Vainz but I think its best to max its Sp. Atk.

Sp. Atk 252/Speed 120/Hp 120/Sp. Def 18 or
Sp. Atk 252/Speed 200/HP 58

Ok. We are going to do the system which always works in the end, and that is voting. We are now going to vote on two things at once. First, Togekiss

1) Kiss with Max Sp.Attack

2) Kiss with Max Speed

3) Kiss that is Defensive

And we are also going to vote on puting in Garchomp. If you vote to use Garchomp, YOU MUST say which pokemon you are going to get rid of. If you dont, then you are not helping in making a choice at all.

1) Use Garchomp

2) Dont Use Garchomp

When voting, please give a your reason for why you made that choice.

Here are my choices. I choose a Speedy Sp.Attacking Togekiss. Why? Because we can get a lot more out of Speed than we can by raising his Sp.Attack 52 more. We are already using Nasty Plot, which will give him plenty of Attack, but if we dont make it as fast as possible, it will be harder to pull off Nasty Plot.

I am actually going to agree with Punishment, and choose Garchomp over Electivire. It would be much more powerful, and i think a better choice than Electivire. But i am going to make a new suggestion. I know i am going to get yelled at by Punishment, but how about we get rid of Claydol in favor of Magmortar. With Powerful Sp.Attack and EV'd speed, it could easily take out a Skarmory. Im sure one of your arguments will be that the Skarmory will just switch out. Well, dont you think the Skarmory would swithout if it saw a Claydol? Here is the team i am proposing:

Dusknoir
Garchomp
Metagross
Togekiss
Milotic
Magmortar

Just give your votes and opinions.

*curses in spanish* GET RID OF CLAYDOL!!! Aw man, I liked him. Oh well, what must be done will be done. Lets do it.

I don't like Claydol.

I like attack Dusknoir but definetely not AOA Dusk. I'd suggest Cresselia or a Registeel, they aren't uber, but legendary. Perfect wall. Better HP and defensive stats!
