"What is The Big Fat Claim Thread?"
This claim thread is for all entertainment-related claims. This includes claims of songs, "celebritees", films and TV series. All claims are to be made in this thread. Claims via PM or via Visitor Message will be ignored.
"What are the prerequisite rules I have to have before I claim any of the above?"
Members with at least 200 posts at the time of creating their reply claim are allowed to claim any bits of entertainment mentioned above.
"How many bits of entertainment can I claim?"
A maximum of ten each of song, celebritee, film and TV series claims will be allowed per member. Anymore than ten will be disregarded. A limit of three claims of the same bit of entertainment will be allowed. Any more than that will have their claim ignored.
"What are the rules regarding claims?"
You may change your claims at any time; so long as it isn't every single day or anything like that. When making a claim, please list them in alphabetical order (by artist for song claims and by first name for celebritee claims).
"Can I claim multiple categories of entertainment in one post?"
Yes, please do. If you group all of your claims in one post, that makes it a lot easier to organize. For example, if you want to claim songs and films, please make one post detailing both sets of claims.
"Do I have to change my text formatting to claim?"
It would be a big help to me if people remove text formatting before they claim. Certain categories of font are a nightmare to convert to normal, so it would be appreciated.
SONG CLAIM INFORMATION
"I want to claim an album, can I?"
You may claim a whole album. Albums usually consist anywhere between 9 and, typically, 12-20 songs. In order to claim a whole album, you must have at least one claim remaining. Album claims work the same as a song claim; only you follow a different format for an album claim. Only two members may claim an individual album.
"What are some specific rules regarding song claims?"
If you're claiming a song by an artist featuring another artist, please just state the initial artist. Leave the (feat. ___) out of the title. When editing a claim that was denied, please leave a Visitor Message with the claims master, who will then update your claims.
"What is the posting format?"
IF YOU FAIL TO FOLLOW THE POST FORMAT, YOUR CLAIMS WILL BE DENIED UNTIL YOU MANAGE TO DO SO.
Copy and paste the following:
★ [B]Artist name here[/B] - Song name (Username)
To claim an album, use the following format:
★ [B]Artist name here[/B] - Album name [Album] (Username)
Do not edit the [Album] part as that is important and tells others (because usually there is a title track on an album consisting of the same title of it) that you're claiming the album. Others may still claim the songs within it, however.

★ Paramore - Riot! [Album] (Aurapostle)
★ Britney Spears - If U Seek Amy (Abercrombie)
★ The Summer Set - This Is How We Live (Aladdin)

CELEBRITEE CLAIM INFORMATION
"What is a 'celebritee'?"
A 'celebritee' is simply a fun word for real-life celebrites around the world. These may not include fictional characters! If you would like to claim a fictional character, you may do so in the claim thread located in Japanese Entertainment.
"What are the specific rules regarding celebritee claims?"
Please be aware that celebritees should be claimed with the name their most known as. For example, if you are looking to claim Lady Gaga, as her real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, most people refer to her as Lady Gaga, so use that.
"What is the posting format?"

FILM CLAIM INFORMATION
"Can I claim groups of films as one entry?"
No. If you want to claim, say, the Toy Story trilogy, please claim each individual film as per the posting format below.
"What about remakes of films?"
If you're claiming a remake of a film, and the new film has the same name as its predecessor, simply put the year in brackets afterwards. For example, if you wish to claim the 1998 remake of Psycho, your claim would look as follows: ★ Psycho (1998) - Username here. The original film does not need to put the year (see, for example, my own claim of the original Psycho).
"What is the posting format?"

"Can I claim TV series that have ceased airing?"
Yes, by all means. Old television should be cherished, and it can be done so justly in this thread.
"What about TV shows that have aired in different countries"
It is becoming popular for broadcasters to remake popular TV shows in their native language. To claim a show that has multiple variants - e.g. The Office - please put the country of origin in the claim name. For example, a claim for the UK version of The Office would look like this: ★ The Office (UK) - Username here.
"Can I claim anime in this thread?"
No. Please use the claim thread in Japanese Entertainment for anime. This thread is for non-anime TV series claims.
"What is the posting format?"
