Do we pick two Kido and two Arrancar abilities, or two kido or two Arrancar abilities?
Since we haven't had a discussion topic in a while, maybe I'll use this one.
Since I tend to use my Soul Reaper character more, I'd probably go with two Kido techniques.
I'm quite fond of Bakudo #63:Sajo Sabaku, but #61:Rikujokoro would probably be more effective.
I could mix Hado #54:Haien with my shikai abilities to make a pretty devastating attack.

What I meant was picking two Kido of each type (Binding/Bakudo and Destructive/Hado) as well as two Arrancar abilities. Personally though, Bakudo #81 Danku and #61 Rikujokoro have always been useful from what I've seen, while Hado #88 Hiryugekizokushintenraiho and #63 Raikoho would be suited to my style. As for Arrancar abailities, I would pick Cero Doble (Neliel's speciality), and Sonido.

This chapter was full of creepy...
The humanoid forms of the Asauchi, with little mouths instead of eyes, were bad enough.
But then Kubo had to change Unohana's appearance and demeanor too.

It feels like there are still somethings that have yet to be explained about the Ausauchi.
But those'll probably be covered in future chapters.
I wonder how Kubo will structure the next few chatpers.
Will he continue this scene split, or focus on one of the two first and then go to the other?

Ah, so that's why Unohana always wore her hair braid in front.
I think the only time were she wore her braid back was in the swimsuit episode. xD
Hmm, some foreshadowing by Kyoraku...
I hope Kubo actually shows the fight between Unohana and Zaraki.

Some actual chapter thougths for once;

So according to funky dude, shinigami are given an "empty" zanpakuto when they enter the whole thing. That just leaves me confused as to how Ichigo developed a giant zanpakutou of his own independently, within seconds of getting his powers. I guess the only plausible explanation would have something to do with Rukia's reiatsu creating it for him or something. Of course nothing in Bleach makes sense if you think too much about it anyway, haha.

I guess the same would apply to any being in Bleach that has a zanpakuto they can't have gotten from SS. Like the arrancar, for example. Or do they just find random katanas in the desert and imbue them with their powers?

Anyway, the whole idea of zanpakutos having to be made by this dude throws a lot of things in Bleach upside down.



But oh well, we'll get the Zaraki-Unohana fight! <3
Wait, when Kubo said he had something special in mind for Yachiru, what if he actually meant Unohana? That'd be sneaky, hahaha.

Well well well, that was a pretty neat chapter.

I hope neither of them die, if one does it'll be Unohana though me thinks. Still, a powered up Kenpachi will be awesome.

When Rukia gave him his powers she said "The percentage of success is not high", makes sense that they'd have a safer method, perhaps this guy didn't literally create them but instead created the safe method of obtaining a Zanpakuto.

The Arrancar that had the swords were the ones that Aizen modded right? He was pretty good at SCIENCE!!!! and of course he has the god particle Hōgyoku. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if he just stole the Zanpakuto recipe with his hypnosis whatnot decades ago.

Unohana dying would be a fair price if we get to see even more badass-Zaraki.
Though I guess that'd mean Soul Society loses their next-to-best healer and one of their best fighters and minds of all time.

Yah. The only interesting thing there really was was the odd thing Zaraki felt. Which sort of seems like immortality.

Maybe he is instantaneously healed by Unohana somehow?


also dammit now when they're both technically kenpachi everything becomes so confusing

At first I thought it was something like what happened in the Ichigo vs Kenpachi fight during the ss arc. 45 seconds in.


But I guess Unohana could have done something, her bankai is probably something stupidly overpowered like the control of all life and death.

It would make sense if Zaraki got that feeling from Unohana, just like Ichigo got it from Zaraki.

Although I doubt that's the case. Unohana very clearly still has the blood on her face that she got when Zaraki's throat was stabbed.

The whole "you return stronger every time you die" thing is pretty evident as well.


Can't really see any ability Unohana could possibly have being over-powered.
I mean, Orihime exists.
