I came across something interesting after reading Viz's translation.
Tosen says this after the Hollow exoplodes...

"The fact that he self-destructed means he surpassed the target Hollowfication phase and went to the final Metastasize phase. To a Quincy of all people!"
"We created it for the Hollowfication of Soul Reapers..."

To which Aizen responds...

"Although it strayed from our initial goal, there were aspects that exceeded our expectations.
"A Hollow created from a dead Soul Reaper ventured to choose a Quincy, an existence furthest from itself."
"Don't you want to see what happens next?"
​

To me, this seems to suggest that this Hollow was an experiment in creating something like the Fullbringers.
What do you guys think of this?

Well, there's definitely some experimentation effects going on here.

Their bloodline becoming corrupted is most likely referring to fullbring. Nice to see Ryuken caring about Masaki (while his mother doesn't... Also she's got a wound on her calf, wonder what that's about).

Oh cool now there's a hollow hole developing. Seems like Aizen's experiment's doing. Prrrrobably turning her into something hollowy.

Yay Urahara. Let there be answers.

lyl, I wonder If poking her with his magic sword is what will sort out this current problem.

Being Katagiri is suffering. This isn't going to end well for her.

I wish this entire manga was a romance drama covering the lives of Ryuu-chan and Katagiri.

Allright. :D Thats what I have heard from my friend who watched bleach for about 120 episodes. Ill continue post my (worthless) thoughts and progress when I continue it.
Although Its a little disapointing when I know already a lot of things that are going to happen etc. But I wont that hinder too much. :D

Mangastream's transaltions are usually the best, but I sitll don't understand some of Urahara's explaination.
I'm definitely going to read the chapter again when Viz's translation come out on Monday.

I love Isshin's reasoning. That's totally how Ichigo would have responded too.
And Ryūken is acting kind of like how I'd imagine Uryū would.
I think the Isshin/Masaki/Ryūken dynamic is a bit more like Ichigo/Orihime/Uryū.

Ahahaha, Masaki reminds me of Mashiro.

I thought this was a very nice wrap-up to the flash back.
And the end of the chapter is pretty good.
Isshin will reveal another big secret that he had been keeping from Ichigo.

So it seems like we're going from one flashback to another, possibly. xD

Overall, I was pretty satisfied with this chapter. You done good Kubo.

Well, I quite liked this week's chapter.
It was a real good transitional chapter.
Plenty of good teases, I wonder where the next chapter will pick up first.


First day of Phoenix Comicon, I met a Kisuke Urahara cosplayer.
Her costume was Urahara as captain from the TBtP arc.
She even had a pretty detailed sword to go along with her outfit.
I'll probably post pictures on Monday.

Also, I'm going to tease by telling you that I bought a replica of Bleach character's zanpakuto.
Whoever can guess which zanpakuto it is by Monday will get a cookie from Smile's stash, and some of Min's candy. *image removed*
