Were you afraid of anything when you were little? Did you ever think something was going "to get you"? Did you think their was a monster in your closet? etc...
I was just scared of the dark, period. I wasn't really afraid of anything specifically, but if there was some noise in the room I would freak out and think someone had broken into the house. I still jump a little if something falls.
I didn't believe in monsters, but I was scared that something creepy or crawly would crawl into my bed while I was sleeping, or something I like. I was especially frightened by the prospect of SNAKES slithering into the room. Haha. I was on the tenth floor of an apartment building. What were the odds? Pretty high, well to me anyway, when I was eight/nine. XD; I was also scared of people breaking into the house too. I wondered what would happen if something like that really were to happen, and lose sleep all because of that ^^;
I was mostly afraid of the dark or rather what my silly imagination thought was in the dark. You know get up in the middle of the night for some reason and when you go back to your bed ...you think you see something in it! XD It was just my blanket wadded up on the bed or something of that nature. I was a real chicken though I always thought something was going to get me. I was also deathly afraid of aliens. I had a lot of nightmares because of all this =/
I was scared of Ghosts when I was little. I always thought that if I'm asleep they sit beside me. But now, I don't believe in Ghosts. They're just myths.
Now, when i was told, "don't let the bed bugs bite" when i was little, i actually believed there were bed bugs! I sprayed my whole room with this stuff that kills bugs XD. I don't nelieve in them now though.
This may sound rather silly, but when I was younger I had an unusual fear of hoovers/vacuum cleaners. My parents weren't aware of this at the time mind you, so a lot of the time they would place a hoover in my room during the night because that was generally where it's usually found. There were some nights I laid against the wall clutching to my teddy bear and my quilt thinking that...thing that was staring at me from the opposite side of the room was going to jump at me with a snarl and eventually suck me up. I've long gotten over that fear, but now that I look back on it; it's only an icon of amusement now rather than childish foolishness.
I have never really been afraid of much. I was a fearless kid, just like I am fearless now. But I used to be scared of tornadoes. I had so many nightmares about them as a kid. I was in one once, and that triggered the nightmares. I don't have them anymore though.... I haven't had a nightmare since I was 12. ^^; What people consider nightmares and scary, don't really scare me. XD
And I had a terrible fear of ladybugs for some odd reason. I still hate them to this day. They are just gross to me and I won't go around one. XD But that is about all.
I was terrified of the dark until I was eleven. I don't know why, but it just seemed so ominous and I hated not being able to see if anything was there or not. | I was afraid of skeletons under my bed when I was three and four, but that wasn't a biggy. I'd just ask for someone to check for them under my bed. XD;
Umm.. Oh gosh, this is embarassing. o.o I was afraid of... Uh.. Johnny Cash? xD He was really old, and old people scared me half to death. I'm still scared of him, actually. xD And of course, tornados. They still petrify me, though. xD Ooh! XD And when I was a tiny kid, I used to eat ladybugs. o_o; So whenever I saw one in the future I always used to hide because I thought they would fly in my mouth. XD
After watching the Child's Play movies, I developed a horrible fear of dolls-- specifically, the baby ones. And it just so happened that my sister had a whole closet full of those things. Now that I look back on it, it was a silly fear.
Just the dark, at night. This fear doesn't survive to this day and my current self, but I can feel uneasy if I've watched something like certain parts of First Encounter Assault Recon. When I turn the lights out before I go to bed, it feels as though Alma might turn them on again and something bad will happen... xD
I can take anything, a roller coaster in the dark the entire ride, and flying planes. What I cant stand and scream in disblef and horror is toads. Kermit the frog is like a serial killer in my eyes.
I wasn't afraid of the traditional monsters. But I vaguely remember having nightmares about an anorexic and a gluttonous turd. I got over it… definitely after I saw Dogma. xD
I was scared of my closet for a while when I was like 5 or something.
My parents thought it would be funny to put a Furby in there. So one night I head something in the closet say "Feeeeeed meee". I hope they felt horrible ;__; I was also scared of the dark just because I couldn't see what was around me. I still don't like walking around my house in the dark. I'm a sad story.
And of course I've always been freaked out by the very THOUGHT of Chucky XD;
EDIT: Oh hah XD; I was scared of Cell from DBZ until they finally killed him. Yet again, I'm such a sad person.
I was scared of vampires and thieves. I usually had nightmares where they entered my houese and, for some reason, I was unable to move. Luckily, I took over those fears the day when I found face-to-face with a thief and got to run, and watching fun series about vampires. They helped me stop wanting to sleep with someone else ("If there are two of us, the chances of being attacked split in two!", that's what I thought XD).
I was scared of looking out the window at night. I was reading a book once and I turned over and their was a photo of a monster pressed up against a window so I always had to keep the curtains shut but now I hate having the curtains shut, need to have them open because I like watching the stars.
*thinks* I didn't get many nightmares, there was a weird creepy one on my 9th/10th birthday that felt very real but I don't scared in my dreams that often.
Oh yeh, I can't have my door open... or wardrobe open, or any doors open.(Still can't) I used to think insane things...And if I'm sleeping, I hate any lights being on.
