I think I had a Koffing card back when I was a kid! I remember being confused as to why it was a Grass-type in the TCG, haha.

Putting poison as grass wasn't a strange thought, as nine of the fourteen Gen I grass Pokémon had poison as a second type. Bug/poison was a common combination too.

That's true, but I still find it pretty strange that they didn't bother incorporating every type, considering that the TCG isn't bound to any physical limitations the way video games are. xD

That's what I thought too which is why I made cards of each type when I made some fakemon TCG cards. But I guess they did it for deckbuilding purposes, as you don't really want to incorporate Pokémon of more than one or maybe two types and they couldn't put enough Pokémon in one series to be a decent fill-up for the fifteen types in existence.
