I do as well, but sometimes acoustic guitar sounds give a nice effect. The intro to Megadeth's "In My Darkest Hour" is a good example, that was recorded with both an electric and an acoustic, then mixed.

Fun fact: Dave Mustaine himself has stated that "playing acoustic is like having sex with your clothes on. You know how to do it but it's more difficult".
