Don't forget that Nintendo also had the inferior disc/cartridge. Sega wasn't that bad as a company and until they released the Saturn. Sony seems to be the only game company that cares about the hardware and uses it to sell the system.

I'm not saying their products are bad, I'm just saying that they should get off their high horse and make actual crap instead of releasing the same thing (with maybe a second camera or bigger screen) and selling it for an arm and a leg.

It's more the audience's problem, because every single apple fanboy probably doesn't even know what it does and only buys it because, well…
