190940. One thing you should note is that a corporation will likely never send you a cease and desist email, since they'd probably like for there to be a paper trail. Plus, they probably like the fact that showing they know your address can intimidate a heck of a lot of people.

190947. Basically, intimidation is how they hope to get people to stop pirating while they try to get their unconstitutional (violates some privacy rights in the US) and sovereignty-violating (at least in the US for the aforementioned reasons) international treaty enacted.
