The Daily Chit-Chat [2008]

during the summer when I move down to the basement I have a desk that about 7' wide, it usually becomes a giant pile of mail, wires, and an occasional plate or bowl from dinner
(hehe we all started talking about desks and the google adds are now showing all desk advertisements)

Haha, that mess sounds like mine. I don't have wires, but my old desk had a good pile of mail from the university along with other random papers and books. Right now, my desk is a bunch of schoolbooks, paper, and a few other random things like my stationary box.

My google ads were still about Pokemon and that oddball one about a single chatroom. o_O Watch it change when I post. XD
EDIT: Finally got my desk ads! O:

I have a fair-sized desk that's built as an extension of the shelves that line one wall of my room (my dad built it about...ten years ago, I believe?).

And yet, even though I have a desk, and it's usable (though it needs to be cleaned again)...I somehow insist upon using my bed as the place where I use my laptop.

Go figure. :|
Why? I think I'd find it uncomfortable. I play video games on my bed, and that's hard enough to get comforable on. I usually end up practically lying down on my back, but with my head propped on my pillows. I can't seem to sit up on it very often.

The good news is I don't have a laptop, but a desktop.
And air fresheners make the room smell so sweet and stuff...it'll feel like heaven... ;;

Breathe in...and out...in...and out....all day.

I wish I had a good air freshener. I bought one recently, and it worked the first few days, but after that, not so much. Next time I'm out, I might buy a flameless candle. That sounds like a good time. :D

I'd buy a plugin air freshener, but I don't have the plugs for that. It's hard enough finding plug space as it is. :/

I usually try to not have open flames near me, I'm sort of a pyro. I'd most likely start running my fingers through the flame if I had one near me. but I do like those scented candles (especially lavender scented ones)

You know, I really don't know why, since it is often uncomfortable. I guess it's mostly a matter of "I brought it over here, and I don't feel like moving it back right now." :B

Speaking of air fresheners, I need to buy more. I meant to get some when I was at the store the other day, but of course, I forgot.

I'm more of a candle person. That, combined with the awesome re-paint of my room = instant win. <3
I like candles more, too, but I can't have them in the dorm. If I could, I would have candles. :/ A flameless candle is the closest I can get. Or, I could melt the candles with a candle warmer instead, but that's not as fun...

Haha, sounds like me. Then again, a desk doesn't automatically mean comfort. It really depends on the chair, I think. I can sit at a desk for hours if I have a good chair. This one really sucks >_< It's never the right height, I suppose, and there's no good place to put my feet. I end up sitting on my feet or in some strange position that's just not fun.

I always forget to buy air fresheners. XD

I should use an air freshener or something in my room tomorrow to get the paint smell out. :/
My desk chair... is pretty much a folding chair that looks like it's straight out of the beach. It looks like a flimsy piece of junk at first sight, but it's surprisingly super-sturdy. :3

My desk chair in my room is just a plain padded chair. The one before that was a chair from an old dining table. The one in the lab is a real computer chair, but it doesn't adjust, so I don't like it so much. XD;

I want a real and comfortable computer chair someday. ♥
The smell of paint is actually good, mind you. It brings the freshness and the "new" in the room. And the more emptier my room is, the easier it is to hear my voice echo. Omg <3

Not the paint I last encountered. We painted my stepbrother's old room years ago. The paint smell gave me a headache. >_<

New car smell, however... *shot*

I've got a $20 walmart desk chair that has no mre padding left in it, if I want to sitin int for more than 10 minutes I have to put a folded towel or pillow under me.
right now I like my bed, because I have a pillow designed for sitting up.
"To some you can't beat the smell of a new backpack, to others it intoxicating.
[buddy walk up with backpack on his head]: Duuuuuudes!!

Most of the time I'm too lazy to move my things.

You forget everything. What kind of memory do you have?!
One like a sieve, apparently.

Strangely enough, my long-term memory is pretty good: there are particular things from even years ago of which I can remember even small details. It's the short-term memory I have to worry about.

My current desk chair sucks as well. :[ I had an awesome chair at one time, and then it broke somehow...something got bent underneath, and it tilted to one side. The one I use now is just...I dunno, it definitely isn't as nice as the one I had before.

It does smell "new" in my room now =D The paint smell isn't as bad, but maybe that's cause I almost have no sense of smell. ._.;;

Mine's padded too~ The padding's not the greatest in terms of looks, but it's quite comfortable. I'd love to get a real computer chair, but I don't think I'd have the room. I don't see myself needing one anyway, as cheap-looking as my old chair looks. xD; Ikea ftw~

Mine just... deteriorated. Allergies (I'm allergic to EVERYTHING o_O), colds, whatnot. I can smell, just not that well. And it's worse now that I have a cold. :/

my room at home is fairly big, i have two desks in there, but i wanna get rid of one and put a big screen tv in, almost have enough money :) also i want to paint the room aswell, its been the same colour since we got the pace like 12 years ago. At my dads i have a two room granny flat with my own bathroom and kitchen, its sweet as, but extremely messy because we just got the place so theres stuff all over the place.

yer the smell of paint is kinda weird , and i dont know why but i quite like the smell of new cars aswell.

you all probably have a better sense of smell than me. I had a science experiment accident in high school and lost most of my sense of smell darn stinkin' sulfur

Ugh, I haven't been able to smell a thing in years, short of
methane, mint, and menthol, which, conveniently, I hate.
I have no idea how I lost my sense of smell, but, well, it's
just not there anymore.

My nose is really bad, see. And it likes to bleed out of itself
very often.

So, hey, check out the word of the day ;) v

Sulfur gas is horrible. Didn't you guys get to do it in a fume cupboard?

I can't seem to get the smell of Ammonia gas away from me since the experiments of the past few days.

Sulfur isn't so bad. You get used to it. You should try having an
entire floor stink of assorted animal carcasses.

Yeah, I hate when that happens and the stench just stays with
you for long periods of time ; like when we had to use Alfalfa
extract in Earth Science. Uck.

Okay... perhaps not as horrible as that. When did that happen?

*googles Alfalfa extract*
What does that smell like?
