one word Mythbusters. underwater explosions are Da Bomb! (pun intended :D) they look so cool with all the bubbles and more bubbles and even more bubbles!

Volcanic eruption look better above sea level, in my opinion. I used to watch Mythbusters until they started testing some really weird stuff that were obviously myths.

What was that famous volcano eruption... v something?

Isn't that half the fun of Mythbusters? :P

I think I've seen MythBusters... once. It seriously looks interesting, though. ^.^

Cesium blows up real nice in water. A single gram of it will destroy a procelain bathtub filled with water, and send some nice shrapnel everywhere, too. I think.

I believe the sound effect is "Ka-bloosh!"

Why explode a bathtub though? There are other things worth blowing up...

did you all know that if you flush more than a pound of dry ice down a toilet it'll explode the toilet?
(I saw that on CSI)

@ ^^^^^ They use similar elements in Depth Charges. That should satiate your bloodlust.

@ ^^^^ It is dangerous. They hid behind bomb-proof screens when they did it XD

@ ^^^ I can't even remember what I was going to say to that. One sec. EDIT: Oh yeah. There's an infinite amount of myths. They just make up more if they need them.

there are loads of things that dry ice can make fun!
like a new take on the paper bag on someone's front porch (somewhat safer than the original, as it doesn't use feces or flames)
pool fun
eery fog around halloween...
the list goes on

Dry ice is solidified carbon dioxide (which is a gas at room temperature).

Basically, carbon dioxide is pressurized and cooled, and then some of it is allowed to spray out (which cools the remaining CO2 even further). The result is an icy substance that leaves no liquid residue as it melts, making it a versatile cooling agent.

*shotforbeingtootechnical

Actually dry ice is CO² that has solidified, thus classifying it as a solid, however unlike it's brother H²O, CO² skips the liquid stage and vaporizes.

Edit: beaten *also shot for being technical*

Um yeah, you're both a little too technical. XD;

Dry ice makes me think of body spray o_o

Dry ice makes me think of when I was in seventh grade and these four boys in my class made a rock band called Dry !ce. It was so lame. D:

...They broke up right after the school talent show. XD;

EDIT// This post is 1337. Seriously.

Duly noted. And it does seem kinda body-sprayish, doesn't it? They look the same when they're melting (or sublimating if you prefer)/being sprayed. I think they smell the same, too...
