You know, I'm always shy when browsing PC in a public place. I know, it's disgraceful! ;o;

I have never browsed PokéCommunity in a public place. That's practically asking to be treated like a social outcast.

invisible mode is cruise control for cool

I hate people on MSN who think that talking in capitals is cruise control for cruel. They do my head in. Invisible mode is okay, but I never really found a reason as to why people would use it on a forum.

What's there to be shy about, I wonder?
Mabey it is the avatars and signatures of members, so if you think about how someone who has never been on it and don't know what it is to see you they will think WTF are you looking at! Some strange pictures really! Don't be shy:paranoid:--->Do it in secret:rambo:!

hey, I could lie to you and tell you that I scream "I love Pokemon" everywhere I go, but who would I be fooling? It's just one those things I'd rather keep to myself.
Ok and there is that---->Yeah but Twinx is right some people like to keep the things that they like that they no other people may notand hate them for it to themselves. Yeah where I am Pokemon is old and your a "baby" if you like it!

Hmmm, I could use the cash. I'll take you up on that bet.

What currency - Canadian or Australian? :P

But really, you know how it is. I'm hardly likely to forget about doing the essay... I just won't do it 8D

Canadian, but note the almost willing to bet. D; But yeah, I know what you mean. You never really forget that you've got something to do but you just sort of go "Ohh, I'll start it in 20 minutes after I do this." And before you know it...

I'm not shy! :D I browse PC with pride in my lectures and when I was in high school. I'm just a little secretive about it here at work because, well, when I posted that I was on the clock. XDD;

8( I browse PC in public all the time.

I speak in all-caps sometimes if I'm really excited about something (because IRL I would be shouting my news at the person XD) or if I'm showing intense sarcasm, etc. But that's not an all-the-time thing. That bothers me. :( As for invisible mode... I know sometimes I wish I could go on invisible mode because as soon as I log on I almost always get a PM from someone I don't know asking me to do name changes be their friend[/s] do something. D8

Hello everyone:D

Hey do the posts I post in here count anyways,

I went into a new school "high school" in august and there is this question contest between every high school in the capital area, and I
tried out, I got 20 questions out of 100, but still the teacher asked me to come back to take another test, this time I + 9 others got study material so I'm competing them, the top 3 get to represent the school in that competition, I was like what am I getting to round too? and my best friend who did not enter was like you'll never make it "she said I was to much of a blond to enter" we'll anyway I got a good laugh at her when I told her the news.

Well, you get computers and whatnot so it's easier for you. If I wanted to go on PokéCommunity in school, I'd have to ask for permission to go onto the computer and then the staff would ask me for a reason. I just don't have the freedom to chat to people I don't know in real life at school.

Well, I speak in capitals if I'm hyper or shouting an announcement or someone, but when I'm talking to my illiterate friends on an instant messenger, it seriously ticks me off. I asked a number of them why they did it and their answer was that it look cool.

I couldn't go on PC at school, even if I wanted to. First of all, the computers in this school aren't very accessible to me right now; the only computers I really have access to are in the library and even then, I believe I would need to ask a librarian, tell them why I need one, blah blah blah. Secondly, they're all out in the open, and this doesn't really just go for PC, but for most websites I browse (LJ, Facebook, etc.) - I don't like people watching over my shoulder, seeing what I'm up to. It's creepy. :<

As for invisible mode, I've only been on it once. It was weird to me, so I've never been on it since. XD

In high school I was only able to use the computers in my informaton technology (computer science) course. Otherwise the only option was the library and then I'd run into the same problem you and Saryka mentioned. But in uni I just drag my own laptop to class. :P I don't do it anymore because I don't go to class because my laptop has a really awful fan and is annoyingly loud and overheats too easily but... I used to bring it around a lot.

I used to type so perfectly. I've loosened up a lot online over the years. I use a lot more short form now (within the last year or so) and while it's not something I'm proud of, it's just what I do in IMs now. I've found my happy median and I'm content. I hate when people put no effort into what they type, though. If someone opens a conversation with me and can't even spell "hey, how are you?" right? Chances are I won't even answer. :/ I like literacy in my conversations, kthx.

Yea, I bet I couldn't get on PC in school even if I really wanted to aswell. Just like Saryka I have limited access to computers at school. And here the computers have blocks on most of the non research related sites. If you want to enter a different site you need to notify you're teacher why you need to go to it.

So really I would never go on PC or anything at school, wich is proboby a good thing xD

My school's blocked all game sites. That means no Newgrounds, no Miniclip; I can't even Spank the Monkey at AddictingGames.

I remember back in Computer Sciences class last year, we found a Super Mario Bros. online games site that hadn't yet been blocked. We used to play it when our teacher wasn't looking, but he eventually caught on, and now that site's blocked as well. D:

It's also odd that MSN.com is blocked, like, if you type in the URL it'll show up as blocked, but it shows up as IE's default homepage... XD;

The school blocks sites for one reason so you do not goof of and focus on school work only. You really dont want to get into trouble so just stick to school. The teachers can acess your history of a list of sites that you have been on so I wouldn't take a chance. If you do decide to then go ahead thats your choice but it's a waste of time besides focusing on your school work. The sites that we go on are meant for home use after you are finished with your homework are the weekends witch is mainly free time if you dont have weekend homework.

I have befriended the lab-prep man who is a mentor to us lab-rat children who spend 80% of the school day in the Biology labs, even though he is completely childish and lazy. It's a complicated story that's exclusive to our school.

Anyway, story's point is that he has a computer... And we can use it whenever for whatever... Since he's never really doing anything anyways.

I've never exactly been a model student and my teacher couldn't really complain considering I was always doing best in the class or right up there. XD;

The only things blocked at my school were things like online MSN clients and whatnot. Most other interesting things were still available.

I downloaded ShoddyBattle on my school's computer, but didn't have the heart to play it.

Everything seems to be blocked on my High School's system. Not only do they block access from certain sites such as Wikipedia and New Grounds, they also block any sites attempting to run certain software upon initial startup.
Guess what? They block all vBulletin software.
No Pokécommunity for me during school hours.

Actually, they got a little ridiculous with it last year. We seriously couldn't go to Google Images... It was incredibly annoying to work on graphical projects when the only resources you could cite would be from Microsoft Clipart. -.-
(Luckily they fixed that this year, though it's still severely limited.)

Most people know forwarding domain names to sites such as Myspace and Facebook, so you can often see people on those sites, however; each domain stay unbanned for a short period of time.
Such is life, eh?

I don't see the horror of Wiki, unless you go on a editing spree or something.

I don't even know how thats possible.

I see why there, but still. No need to go soccer mom with a tazer on you.

Wow, strict school. I still don't get how you can block VBulletin.

Are you confused about how they actually block it, or why?

Because "you're not allowed on chat lines" is what the lady in here says sooo...
