Dont eat an apple with your braces unless you cut it into pieces! Trust me, its heck trying to get all the apple remnants from inbetween the braces.

I like Fuji apples too. Best tyoe of apple like I stated a few posts ago in this thread.

Even though I probably need braces my mom wont let me have them. :D

You should thank your mom. Braces can be really painful when theyre tightened, and sometimes its too painful to eat 0.0
Though I would just take an ibuprofen cuz it helped make the pain subside

Already have. My mom wont let me because my sister had a very hard time with them.

I dont know one person who liked having braces.

Yep i didnt like having braces..i could just hardly smile..
and both my parents are dentists,so you could get the picture.

I remember a time when I used to WANT braces. I don't know wtf I was thinking. I didn't even need them, but I was young, and all my friends had them. Now I'm so grateful that I don't need them. I have perfectly straight teef. :3

Too bad there isn't an easier and cheaper way to obtain straight teeth.

I was sort of the same way, except when I was younger I really wanted a retainer XD They seemed cool and they came in fun colors! ;;

My mom and I have the good straight teeth in the family, my brother just got braces not too long ago.

I know. And my friend's braces were always a bunch of different colours. I wanted my teeth to be colourful, too. D:

I didn't enjoy having braces but I'm really glad I had them anyway, theyve made a massive improvement to my teeth. >_>

Most teenagers get wonky teeth due to not brushing their gums properly - if you delay orthodontics now, you're making it worse for youself if you choose to have them in the future. Also it's free for kids on the NHS.
I believe your mum is making a very wrong decision- yes braces hurt, but only for a short period. Avoiding braces won't make the problem any better. ¬_¬

Braces are just there. They say not to eat corn,gum, etc. but it hasn't done anything to me so far.
