I kinda think dating before one of you is old enough to even drive is just weird. :P Asking parents to chauffeur you around is strange and honestly, I'm of the kind that things dating when you're young is just pointless.

But then again, I've never really dated anyway so maybe my opinion is moot. I've just never been interested.

Good point. A lot of younger teens date because they want to feel... "older". But having to ask your parents for a lift every time you want to go anywhere seems pretty immature to me. That's why I don't date too often (unless our date is in walking range).

^I dont know really, hmm anyway sometimes I dont understand why people date, sometimes they do it even if they hate one another.

I date and I can't drive. :P I do it for all the making out and stuff. I might be gay, but I still enjoy kissing girls. :D

I do believe that you date to find the person your going to marry. >_< So really I don't date much.

I want to know, how does oine get their profile picture to be large? Is it only a staff thing? I've been looking at the properties of the big pictures and it has nothing to do with a file type like I thought.

Yeah, staff members can have xbox hueg avatars and profile pictures. I think donators ("Contributors", "Community Supporters", whatever) can aswell.

I've never really avoided dating, but I certainly don't actively seek it. I just figure what ever happens, happens. My past has shown me that relationships are too much work and effort for what you get out of them. Who knows, maybe someone will come along and change my opinion =P

I love spontaneously jumping in to conversations...

I don't date because I'm not in a tenable position to do so. I'm in college and would rather get my feet in the door financially and educationally before I start looking for a significant other. I also just don't really have the drive to run around looking for someone to go out with. It's not in my character, I guess. I mean sure, I'll hang out with girls, but I'm not into the whole "dude, it's absolutely necessary for you to have a girlfriend!" thing.

That and my friend started dating in high school and ended up with a psychopathic girl...yeah, I'm in no hurry.

Precisely why I'll wait and not jump right into anything....because there are definitely some psychopaths out there XD

Good lord, but aren't there? This person was ridiculously needy, so far as to call my friend at like 3:00 in the morning with her issues. I was like "wow..."

Yeah...that's kinda where you have to take a step back and say "Is this really worth it?"

Especially in High School. Like really, people went out for like two days and then broke up. I always lol'd at them.

My buddy's got that issue right now. This girl is dedicating songs to him through facebook. They've only spoken once or twice, and she's saying she loves him, and he's the one she wants to spend the rest of her life with. :/

All you can do is laugh though, eh? I mean... that's ridiculous! Love isn't a word to be thrown around loosely like that.

Guys, you're much too cold. Let people be. Let people date for two days, or date for 2 years. What gives? You don't have to mock them. The fact they feel attracted to somebody and get carried by that feeling, get a girlfiend/boyfriend, even if they won't last, will it harm anyone?

Relationships like those are awesome. Not just because of the feeling, more because you learn. I'm sure many of the people you laugh at are gonna handle a serious relationship much better than you will, because they have experienced other ones. They have broke up, and by being mistaken is how we learn the most.

Seriously, get a grip. I'm sure when you get such a crush you'll feel like nothing else matters in the world. It can happen to anybody, and you shouldn't be mocking something just because you don't understand it.

My suggestion: Damn, enjoy life, get a girfriend if you've got a crush, if not, that's fine, but don't assume love is useless at your age.

Maybe I just know too many people who get into relationships very early and then, for the rest of their life (so far anyway) only feel validated if they're involved with someone, no matter how that person treats them.

And, honestly, with lots of kids feeling terrible about not having a boyfriend or girlfriend at age ten... well... yeah, I think that's way too early. :(

These people you just need to back away with. Relationships need both people to contribute, not one person asking for help from the other all the time...

Course it can happen to anyone, we're human, we're wired that way. But that doesn't stop me from laughing at anyone who lets their horomones run their lives. If I ever get that way, well, I'll be laughing at myself pretty soon.

I didn't mean to take such a pessimistic view. I do understand, because I've been there and done that...the whole go out with someone for two weeks and then go out with someone else for two weeks. Based on my experience, it sucked.....Maybe I was just way too mature for the whole high school dating scene. I don't laugh at people that have good, healthy relationship that last for a while based on mutual feelings. My whole opinion on this comes from junior and senior year of high school, which sucked for me relationship-wise.

Anyway, I think you took my comment way too literally, when I was simply implying that most high school relationships are indeed very spontaneous and doomed to fail from the start. I never said they were bad...or that you can't learn from them. I just don't see the point of putting yourself through that kind of emotional stress over and over again.

age 10?

by god, that's when the whole dateing scene in my schools get preped.

by age 12,
EVERYONE just had to have had a boyfriend/girlfriend now or still have.

There is a girl in my cluster (just to remind you I'm in 8th grade) that has already has had sex.
Multiple times.
with her boyfriend. Who's, from what I have heard in on, a senior at high school?

Sratatory rape FTW!

I'm 13, and I have never been with someone.
nor do I plan to.

unless something rolls on by in high school that actually lasts, no dates for me.
I feel that real stuff happens later on in life.
Not at hormonal-teenage-rampage life stage.

It happens....I remember in 5th grade kids having being in "relationships" (I quote because they technically aren't). Good lord...When I was in 5th grade the only thing I cared about was Pokemon cards! XD

well i'm gonna get a girl friend maybe in university, one thing is that once you're in a relationship, there are a lot of distractions, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't get a girl friend in high school. but if at any time you fall in love then you could just try to be friends with that person.

I'm going to have to agree with Pichu on this one. I used to be like some of y'all, thinking that... really any relationship under 18 or so would just be fake and fluffy and... yeah. But it's a lot different when you are the one doing the crushing, and falling in love. While yeah, a lot of those relationships won't last past a little while, and are just for appearances, you can't judge them all on that. For all you know, some of those ten year old couples really could love each other, and end up staying together. In my opinion, if you've found the right one then you've found the right one, and age shouldn't matter.

But when two ten year old kids are just dating to be seen with a boy/girlfriend, then yeah, that's kinda lame in my opinion :x

one of my friends has actually benn with his girlfriend for 4 years now and I son't think he'll break up with his girlfriend any time soon. plus I know both of them very well and they're not the type to cheat on oneanother.

I'm dating a girl (For fun, she knows that) & the popular kids at school were amazed to hear that I'd been dating her for just under six months o_x;
