I like Neopets. I first got it back in like... 2000 or 2001, I forget which year. I was a total addict and while my activity tapered off, I keep accidentally getting into it. XD Last year around this time I was really into it, same with a little bit over the summer... it's actually not that bad so long as you avoid their forums like the plague. :D
 
I like one thing about Neopets. A game in the games room called Neoqest II. It's addictive, and I've always thought they should make an actual video game out of it.
 
I used to play some Neopets on the school computers in Grade 9, because at the time it was about the only interesting site that wasn't blocked.

But since then I've found more interesting things. Though from time to time I wonder how my Neopets are doing; they must be starving after my decade of neglect. =D
 
I got a pack of Neopets cards once, about 3 years ago. I tried to play with them, and it got frustrating trying to learn the rules, what card goes where, etc. Then I just gave them up. I might've thrown them away, but I don't remember.

Honestly, I don't find posting around on a Pokémon forum to be a much better use of my time. :(
 
I don't mean it in a demeaning way or anything. I mean, I love PC.

I just think it's really hypocritical to criticize others for enjoying something like Neopets when you're posting on a forum that has the same social stigma as a virtual pets site does. In fact, I'd say it's even less "cool" to be posting on a Pokémon forum than it is to be playing flash games on another site.

I agree with Erica. You'd probably be made fun of more by discussing Pokémon on a forum, rather then simply playing games with virtual pets. I guess neither one is really a "good use of time" to lots of people, but hey, if it entertains you and doesn't interfere with school or work, why not? :D

:shocked: Seriously you a staff admin saying I am wasting my time on this forum, I came to PC to learn about pokemon rom hacking and see the talk about diamond and pearl and then I got into graphics from here.
And who says I don't play flash games? Or are a part of social network sites? Or watch videos and listen to music online?

So you came here to engage in illegal activities, inquire about video games, and make pictures?

I'd say that's a pretty big waste of time, so... :/

But don't take it the wrong way. PC is meant for having fun a.k.a., wasting time.
 
I always waste time here but get my homework done at the same time, so my parents can't yell at me for that. :P

I won't deny that I probably "waste" more time than I should here on PC. But hey, it's my choice right? I wouldn't do it if I didn't love it here. I don't think of it as a waste at all. We all take different things away from PC, and some take more than others. Who are we to judge how other people spend their time?

I'm not ashamed to tell people that I spend most of my free time here. They may laugh, but frankly, who cares? (The poor fools don't know what they're missing XD)

Oh I get it.
Your saying that it is equally time wasting to be here, but that doesn't mean you don't like it. your just pointing that out to the person who made the statement.

Dude, stop and think: if I'm saying being on a Pokémon forum is a waste of time, I'm really just insulting myself. :( If being on PC makes me a loser, I've got a bazillion loser points considering the six years I've spent here. Read my next post: I wasn't trying to be demeaning, I'm just wondering why you're being so hypocritical.

You completely missed my point. D: Clearly you have a problem with me saying that PC is a waste of time--you can list a bunch of good reasons for being here. So who are you to say that Neopets is a waste of time? People go there to have fun, to unwind, to play the flash games, and to interact. There, I listed some reasons why it's not a waste of time. :( Don't be so judgmental of others and the whole world will have a lot more fun.

If I insulted you, I apologize. I was just defending the Neopets crowd by playing devil's advocate. D;

That was well said, Usually theres 3 things I'm doing, Either I'm on here, I'm shopping, or I'm doing homework, but I'm mostly on here and I enjoy it.

Ok that was harsh

We all have different opinions on neopets, so could we please respect each other opinions by not dissing there hobbies, I mean don't insult other people that like neopets, I my self once liked neopets, but then they got greedy and I could not afford to feed them and forgot about them.

I mean you would not like if someone at your school started saying that your hobbie was for losers, that would make you feel bad and hurt your feelings so don't go hurting other peoples feelings, "caution should be shown in a presence of a soul"
 
I don't really know how Neopets works, but good lord, doesn't everyone need a place to go to relax and escape from the every-day?

Just because Lightning is an admin doesn't mean she can't say that PC isn't a waste (Albeit fun waste =P) of time. I'm sure everyone can think of a time during which they were on PC when they could have been doing something more productive.

Why does it matter how some people spend their time here? It's their time, and it's theirs to spend however they want =/
