Well, TCG has always been pretty slow even in its "peak" when the card reviews are done and all... everyone involved with the TCG above the age of 12 moved to pokebeach already, and fake blank resources are getting super hard to find except there and all. TCG was just kinda hard to keep up with for me as I did try to get into it.

2009 is still part of the 2008-2011 era!

I don't think I could even go back to my old stomping grounds in anime as I'm not exactly the biggest anime fan these days. I tend to only follow toyetic anime and the occasional random show that I pick up. I think the last full anime I watched as Infinite Stratos, sooo I just stay to general areas these days, which at times does make it more difficult to talk to people. XD;
 
I haven't moved to PokeBeach personally because much of the TCG discussion I've seen on both there and PokeGym resembles flaming, despite rules that I'm sure are in place discouraging such activity. Every 6th post I see there resembles "lol shuppetdonk" or "your deck suxx". Their knowledge databases are fantastic resources, though, for answering people's questions here.

The biggest reason it's been dead is probably the fact that monetary exchanges have been banned here for ages.
 
The "flaming" nature is really natural with any online group that contains a scent of competitiveness. Not utilizing the best way to win? Idiotic then when you have the competitive mindset. It's like that for MMOs too. PC has always been a "tame" Pokemon board cause even our Pokemon game section got relatively weak fanbase that battles competitively. Seems like people still amazed that EV exists for example XD (not that it's necessarily a bad thing, mind you.)

Don't think it's due to ban of selling/trading of cards. Cause even then there should be or can be tons of chat about skype account name and then setup battles, or use what's-that-program-called-now. We don't seem to have too much of that though.

Anime lately ya... IS I thought was pretty terrible. Didn't watch it. The last anime I even enjoyed was Working! I should really watch Madoka, but just never got time to watch it yet XD got it all downloaded but ya...

I'll probably try getting OpenCanvas and SAI. I've only used PS so far.
 
I think the last anime I ever watched was Beelzebub and Hanamaru Kindergarten, and that was sometime ago. I was never much of an anime fan despite my drawing habits, but people seem to like assuming that I'm one of those girls that regularly cosplay and type Japanese suffixes at the end of everybody's names on forums. XD

@Lily - It would be great if you could try either of them! And if you ever get round to that, please keep me posted! I'd love to know how you're getting on with them. :D
 
Going to either site probably wouldn't help me much anyways other than to tell me what's actually winning nationwide, which doesn't help me when I don't have time or money to go to events anyway (only what might sell for a fair bit out of my collection).

I really haven't been watching too much of a variety of anime. I've been watching Pokemon episodes off of pokemon.com (there are episodes on the Spanish, British, and American versions of the site from what I've stumbled across out of curiosity the past few weeks), but not really much outside of those five episodes per region they upload each Friday. I'm working on Ghost in the Shell alongside finishing Hoenn and Sinnoh (got done with Kanto and Johto not long after PUSA started posting up Hoenn episodes), but I'm going through it fairly slowly.

Oh it was, it was...pretty terrible, I mostly watched it for the battle scenes. XD;

I might! At the moment I'm only watch Digimon Xros Wars, Beyblade 4D, and that new Yu-Gi-Oh series, but I hear Madoka is supposed to be pretty awesome, sooo I might give it a try!

Of course I would, but that is if and when you'd like critiques! I've seen several doodles you've made overtime and I do think you have a great eye for what would look nice in a drawing, that's why I think you'd be great at making anything in whatever program. If any critique I give you can help with that, then I wouldn't want to hold back. :P

And yes, Frosty. Trouble is that the people who assume these things just take a single glance at me. XD

12 episodes? I think I had Madoka confused with that other shoujo show that ran for an uber long time and was rebranded time and again and now not knowing the name of that show is going to bother for god knows how long aaah.

@Blue - Yeppers, 12 episodes. It's a short, but exciting ride. I'm sure you'll like it. Just give it 'til episode 3 then it starts going downhill.

No, no, it wasn't Precure, it was Shugo Chara! (exclamation mark not for emphasis), found it thanks to Wikipedia, for some reason I remember there being more series in it than just three.

No that's not what she meant heh *got a bit o0f spoilers from friends* She meant downhill as in, downhill yet hookingly awesome. I can't explain it more beyond giving the shock away that I shouldn't know of, yet I spoiled myself unwillingly about XD

should really sleep @_@ *is currently in HK so screwed up timezone compare to normal north american timezone*

Hmm, well I think I shall try it then, have the BakaBT page for it open and it looks rather interesting, people in the comments seem to say it's pretty great, sooo...might as well!

That would make sense. Seriously. It was incredible that you got restaffed so fast, almost reminds me of how fast Lily was made a mod.
 
Madoka was voted the clear winner of best anime of the previous 2 seasons for a reason I'm sure XD

Hi Cat Dog o/ didn't really talk with you personally back then but I do remember you for sure posting around =P does that deal include old S-mods and all that stuff as well? ;p
