Well, we still have the abomination that is :O so... I would argue yes. ;_;
You poor, poor thing, makes me so glad that I at least disabled those things from my CP, even if I still have to see them, they'll never make their way into my posts. unless some scrupulous staff member edits them in

That was an invitation, right? Right??? :D :) :o

I know. I keep smilies off too. I think most people do, so it always throws me off a little bit when someone actually uses one. I'm just not used to seeing them.

Smilies just annoy me for some reason. It's like when I'm reading a serious post and I'm all into it, and then I see the smiley and all the seriousness is gone :/

Same, I haven't used one willingly in quite some time...don't think I would ever go back to them. At least not with the ugly PC smilies. XD;

...and yes, that was indeed an invitation. :D

This makes so much sense. I hate them. We should so get rid of them.

I may not be partial to the current batch of PC smilies but you people have me XDing like a madman again. In today's internet it's an anachronism and PC is pretty much the last place I know of on the internet where XDing is rampant. In the past three days I've taken to doing it so much that I have to remind myself not to do it on other forums now!...

I may be late but good god, :O is hideous. Opening the list of PC smilies, I didn't know we had half of these. I'd rather the blue or pink ones be used as default than the yellow ones right now.

XD was such a hard habit to break and, obviously, I still haven't even shaken it off. Something about PC just sort of... forces you to use the smilie. (Thank god there's no image for that one.)

I still want to change all of PC's smilies, if only so they'd match. But, again, it's so much work and I've been saying this for like 5 years so it's just not gonna happen.

Oh man I really know that feeling. PC is basically the last place I use XDs at. People seem to look down on it elsewhere and it just doesn't jive with the flow of the posts at different forums. It's weird because it feels so unnatural to use it even once in other places, but it's like second nature here. XD

See!

We're just so lighthearted here, I suppose. I've fully embraced XD again for the time being, but once the nostalgia trip dies down and I'm here for a while I might tone it down. Might.

I still use way too many smilies... I suppose because PC just invites them.

Twitter helped me tone it down, though. They're the first things you trim out when you're trying not to go over that character limit.

It felt odd once I stopped posting at PC regularly, seemed like my use of smilies just up and died off in an instant. It gradually went back to normal, and I would even use them on other forums every now and then, but XD was always the big taboo one.
