If I were there, I'd probably be joining the debate rather than sitting around and listening. xD

Well, it was by two of the best minds in atheism and religious philosophy today (Sam Harris and William Craig), they only had a short Q&A so it was mostly watching :P

I personally don't like debates. Then again, I'm one of the people that would be sitting by themselves listening, etc. :(

Aww, I would go with you D: I like debates, even if I'm not as versed on them as my Philosophy major boyfriend, lol. He was so vocal about his opinions talking to our friends that people stopped him to discuss his views even though they had no clue who he was. He'll be a scary force to deal with when he's actually graduated XD

Yeah, I'd participate in a debate. The reason I don't watch any is because I'll just shout out my own opinion. xD

I have a feeling I'm sorta going to turn out somewhat like the guy, seeing as my future majors lies within Religion, Medicine, and Psychology.

Oh man I'm going to love the debates I'm going to get into.

He started in Physics too. I'm kind of biased, dating him and all, but he's pretty damn brilliant. :3 Anyone who can mix liberal arts with sciences is pretty awesome.

Well, that's why you go with friends :P we whispered and discussed (not me so much, I'm just a lowly computer engineering major) during the debate, and we could've asked questions but none of us chose to. This isn't like a classroom debate, it was in a super fancy auditorium with thousands of people watching, not the kind of place anyone would shout out opinions. XD And the kind of opinions you'd need for this kind of debate would have to be logically thought out and described using philosophy and debate tactics, which is also something you can't just shout out, it would take too long :P

I've done a couple of debates as school projects but never really thought of joining the debate team. Debate projects work really well as public speaking practice.

There's a little trick for getting good at those, volunteer to be the first one.
After a while you get boosted self esteem and your speeches rock - much like mine :D

Speeches.. a topic never touched in any internet forum. How interesting!

How about a little change of subjects. Does anyone have a weird need? And no "eating a snack cuz im amerikana and i weight 3873 pounds" is not a need.

Mine as well as an example would be something to hug in order to sleep.
Hmm, typing that raised a bit dirty thoughts in my head. What a normal-functioning 17 years old heterosexual male mind I have.

I'm not very good at giving speeches, or being in front of a lot of people. I already have enough problems in front of a few people :3

No, I don't have any strange needs if my daily compulsions don't count, but they're usually only for the time unless they're constant like clicking a pen a certain number of times before I can use it properly without being stressed out before a use the pen, but I can't help it.

It's probably not all that uncommon, but I have to sorta be hugging my pillow to fall asleep comfortably. Usually I just need to wrap my arms around it to prop it up and it's so I have somewhere to put my arms where they don't feel weird.
I sleep with a lot of pillows, and I hug them whenever I sleep. I don't need to hug them in order for me to fall asleep, though.
