I've never finished reading soul eater. I did watch the whole season though :3 it was pretty cool

My friend actually kept on pestering me to watch Soul Eater this week, so I think I'll get to watching it very soon, after I finish reading Cardcaptor Sakura >___>

I don't really know what to read at the moment, I just want to wait until I obtain some more manga :o

How about reading a non-manga book? They can still be entertaining even without all the pictures and whatnot... that is, if you're desperate to read SOMETHING.

I'm not really desperate, but I'd be interested in something similar to the Mortal Instruments. :o

I never really liked manga I guess... I mean, generally speaking, and I'm not in any means trying to bash those who read manga, but when I read, I read for the words.

I still have trouble reading right to left. Has anyone read the Shakespeare mangas? I've read Romeo and Juliet manga, it was interesting for Shakespeare.

Only manga i have ever read was Naruto shippuden but it kinda ruined the whole watching naruto shippuden because at that time i started reading manga i didn't know it was so far ahead of the tv show episodes. So now when i watch the anime i know whats going to happen and sucks.

Eww Ron Ginny slashfic. Sorry, look up Cassandra Clare if you want more proof. I did read a little of it but I just can't handle something based on something so... vile.

That sounds really interesting, I bet Romeo and Juliet Manga is awesome!

Well, in English we are reading a graphic novel called Mauz (pronounced mouse). It's about the holocaust sort of told using animal representatives of the races. It was really gripping, and sent a very real sense of injustice. It is from the point of view of a Jewish man living at the time of the holocaust telling his story to his son who writes graphic novels.

I'm not usually a big fan of this kind of thing but I am halfway through and finding it very interesting. A really dynamic and emotive text.

I want to buy the graphic novel of 300...
The movie was so amazing, I want to see the original source!

YES!! Mauz is such a great piece of literature. It's so heartbreaking but inspiring at the same time. Idk if you finished it but you'll enjoy it. There's another graphic novel I love, it's called Persepolis, it's about a family in Afghanistan in the 70s, just when militaristic rule started spreading around the mid east. It's just as gripping as Mauz.

There's also another graphic novel, more lighthearted, called Understanding Comics, it is a simple comic strip style graphic novel that questions what is art. If you read it, it'll really make you think about what is art and how we see it. I know an academic online journal that carries it but I'm not sure if I can link there...

As long as you've got music on the journey it's always great :D.

I made a montage today, it's not amazing and I do think it's a bit repetitive - what to do.

I don't have enough graphic novels. ;;

Joy, I am off back to Bristol today. Fun three and a half hour train journey... -___-

Three and a half hours from Manchester to Bristol? What sort of raggedy-ass train service is the West Coast running on!? Just takes three hours to get from Durham to London, and our trains have been nationalised and everything!

I do love trains. Particularly of this variety:

At least you have trains. :/ You never see many over in the US anymore, aside from the occasional freighter.

You're not looking in the right places o_o I used to ride the train from near my house to Philadelphia all the time, I took the train when I moved from Texas to New Jersey, and I take the train home from college (19 hours yeauh) regularly. I see them all the time because I actually use them :P
