I have A's for the most part, B's I'm fine with as long as they're high B's. I'm not very good with studying tho. I hardly ever study and that's going to be a problem for me in college. I can't study one thing for more than 30 min :/

I tend to get A's and B's throughout high school (except freshman year...lol). If I get a C in one class, my parents would ground me, which includes not being able to use my comp. D:

Sometimes parents can be like that, but they're doing that just so you can be a bright student and go to a good college.

My parents did the grounding thing too whenever I got a C or lower which I did A LOT back in high school, so clearly it didn't work. I did really bad in math & chem, those always killed my GPA. I kicked my GPA up and got all A's and B's my senior year though, even in math :'D

It's course selection timeee!
And it works like this where I go to school: You need to select which course you take, and get your current teacher for that subject's approval and signature. All incoming Sophomores, which I am, need to take a half credit Fine Arts Class. Unless you took a Music Class Freshman year(you need to play an instrument, I do not), you have a full credit class option. Also, all Sophomores have to take a full year of Phys. Ed., whereas in Freshmen year we took a semester of Health and a Semester of Phys. Ed. If you take 3 Honors/AP classes you are exempt from taking the fine arts class. If you take 4 Honors/AP classes you are exempt from Fine Arts and Phys. Ed. And of course, the required Religious Course which isn't optional for Honors/AP.

My situation is, I am currently in Honors World History I, Honors Spanish I, English I, Geometry, Biology, and Christianity(the Freshman Religion Course).

Next Year I have AP World History II, Honors Spanish II, Honors Spanish II, Alegbra II, Honors Chemistry, and Jesus and Morality(the Sophomore Religion Course). I wanted to take Honors Algebra II instead of Honors English II but apparently I need a 96 Average in Geometry and I have an awful teacher, so I have an 80.

I currently have my AP World History II, and Honors Spanish II signatures. I need to ask my Bio teacher and my English teacher to sign for me to take Honors classes next year No Gym/Fine Arts for meee. So Happy.

I got C's and D's throughout most of high school, I'm a senior now.
What should have my artist draw as my avatar and signature

I graduated high school with a 3.98 GPA and college with a 3.78 GPA. I win.

My mom was picky about my grades too, but I was especially hard on myself in high school. I'd beat myself up (figuratively, of course) if I got anything lower than an A or a high B. I wasn't so bad about it in college though - just decided to work harder and study more if I got a bad grade.

I so don't miss that about high school. I am perfectly content taking only 4-5 classes a semester with no gym. AND I DON'T WANT TO HEAR COMPLAINING ABOUT PE >_> my state requires it from 1st grade all the way to senior year. so all of you complaining about taking it for a little while haven't been through anything D:

and I like fine arts, I think it's fun!

I had a 3.9 my first couple semesters of college, but then freaking math and astronomy happened and now it's probably a 3.5 XD; I never beat myself up over grades in high school, but now I do get a little upset if I knew I could have done better if I didn't skip class that day or something.

I honestly am never happy with my grades, but my parents have never gotten upset over something like a 'D'. Doing better wouldn't cause that, and I am making a promise to myself to do much better in 11th grade.

I get above average results usually, so-

KELLY SINCE WHEN WERE YOU HERE :O

Anyway, I tend to get good results without studying too much. I took my IGCSEs last year (only two subjects, though - it's not standardised here unfortunately.) I got 100%, A+ in my English, and barely scraped another A+ for Maths (90%) which I figured was pretty good for my worst (and most hated) subject.

NCEA, the standard exam system here, is so bloody complicated and stupid I won't bother explaining it. Students hate it because nobody tells them what they actually need to do, parents hate it because they're used to A, B, C, D, E, F - none of this E, M, A, N crap. Teachers hate it because a student can pass with 19% or fail with 75% - it just depends on which questions you get right. Stupid crappy system.

Oops, there I go again. :x
