Why do people act like your friend and then just do something so totally infuriating that it's obvious they don't really care? And they don't even care when you ignore/block them either. Or maybe they just think you'll come around and it was nothing and it'll blow over.

Ugh, I hate people sometimes.
 
If they don't really care, that's probably why they didn't care that you blocked them. D: As for why people pretend to be your friend in the first place if they aren't really, it probably has something to do with moving up the social ladder (or, conversely, as a cruel joke). :< Alternatively, it could just be that the person has less of a social radar and is more prone to make insensitive comments that could appear mean-spirited, but aren't intended that way.

I would certainly like to think it's not in me to become a monster, even with high but localised power. But I suppose I wouldn't truly know until I was placed in that situation.

Ehh I don't think it was to move up on the social ladder, maybe he's just insensitive/doesn't know how to be a good friend. Oh well, I guess it doesn't matter :x

Haha good that you admitted to the latter, as we would truly not know until presented with such a situation. ;)

Unless of course there are those who already have loose morals, and know what to do, or something to that effect. Oo

If that is the case, I would implore you to find the motivation behind whatever he did to make you upset, so you know whether he really intended to hurt you or not. I've lost friendships because of poor communication before, and it's not pleasant. D:

I'm realistic. :c And high, localised power tends to be highly conducive to people getting "power trips".
 
Power is fun to mess with. Hence why lots of people abuse it. They want to know the boundaries and before you know it, they're breaking the boundaries and taking over the world with a huge robot the size of Godzilla with laser beam eyes and ice breath.

See. I think if people had superpowers, you wouldn't find heroes like Spider-Man or any of those guys. You'd probably just find people beating others up with their powers or flaunting it on the news for money, movie deals, etc. XD

Maybe there would be a few that fought crime with powers, but I think you'd have more super villains than heroes. :>
 
If I had a superpower, I'd probably want mind control/mind reading stuff. ): Be able to tell people to do things I want, hear what they are thinking or make them see fake things and them think it's real.

That's a hell of a power for sure. XD

Or time travel/control. :> I'd enjoy that also.
 
Has anyone seen Watchmen? I think it would probably be a lot like that movie.
Though the only person with "powers" was Dr. Manhattan and they all were basically gizmo'd bad-A's with too much time on their hands they still tried to do what was right. However, the evil nature of a human being took a few of the heroes through the time-line.
If we had real super powered people they would probably - if at all - make an effort to do good but would most likely be over taken by the temptations of being evil.
 
Watchmen was great. I think it'd be a mix of that and the Marvel Civil War where the government tries to keep track of people with abilities and control them.

I'd probably be on the side that revolts against the government knowing secret identities, powers and tracking you. XD;
 
I would like the power of all knowing knowledge. :> To know every single thing in and of our universe. In this sense, I could generate my own powers with this knowledge. ^^"

Not to mention SATs would be a snap. :> haha
 
Nah, I wouldn't like that. It'd drive you crazy.. Knowing everything. It'd just be wrong.
