JSYK, my brother shouts "OTAKU!" whenever he sees something awesome that he thinks is Japanese.
Has he learned the difference between Chinese and Japanese yet? :o
How old is he?

Yes, he has. He's the one who told me that karate was Korean. It's actually not too difficult to discern between Japanese and Chinese characters.

And he's 16. And he's usually too busy to get on PC (no matter how much I tell him to get on here).

My parents think Pokemon is juvenile. I get the old eye-roll treatment every time I tell them I'm going to buy a new Pokemon game.

And as I've said many times before, they don't even know this site exists, let alone that I'm on it. (hopefully) I'll tell them when I'm at university. :3

I hate that. People are so close-minded. In entertainment, there is no age limit. It's about what the individual is entertained by, not what their age group should enjoy. D8<
Xenophobic conformists. Grumblegrumble.

It's the Pokemon anime that perpetuates this. And the fact that aside from Adult Swim, there isn't really any animated television geared toward teens/adults.
