I remember when it was all the rage.
If you weren't in the club/had a signature/knew what was in it, you just weren't cool.

I think that you should make another one, because this sounds intriguing.
 
n_n I can't wait for it! I'm still kinda hoping they'll only do part of it and toss a part 3 at us. It'd be way better to stretch it into 9 or 12 episodes rather than just 8. Since I still don't see how they can finish the second three-quarters of the game in just 4 episodes. B|

IMO, TOA should have been the OVA and TOS the anime...>___>;; There's just so much....Abyss wasn't as deep as Symphonia.

AND IF THERE IS NO MITHOS, I'M GOING TO RAGE.
LIKE, SERIOUSLY RAGE.

...I maybe kinda sorta really prefer ToA to ToS so I had no issues with ToA's comparative length.

But! If Symphonia were a full length series, the animation quality would be way down. :( One thing I couldn't stand about Abyss's anime was the budget was stretched much thinner and the animation wasn't as clean or, well, pretty. And that's one of the things I praise in the Symphonia OVA. So I can't say I mind too much.

True, I forgot about quality...
I liked Abyss, but not as much as Symphonia. None of the characters really stuck with me (because I wasn't a Jade fan, lol). It was okay...didn't watch the anime though. It was pretty clear cut what happened in the game.

Oh, and the pairings were too.
 
I loved Jade but... I loved all of the other characters too. n_n I thought the cast meshed together so well that I didn't mind the cliched plot and the massive amounts of backtracking in it.

But looking back on Symphonia (which I find impossible to play now because the battle system didn't age so well for me), the characters... I dunno. They tried to juggle too many at once and I was really ever only attached to maybe two or three of them. :( It's the characters that seal the deal for me in the Tales series so the fact that I don't find the ToS characters as interesting makes a big difference. It doesn't help that I don't think my favourite character from before is even my favourite character now. XD;
 
I've yet to actually play any of the Tales games, much less watch any of their associated anime. Even so, there was a time when I used to really admire Sheena Fujibayashi, and I sported a Tear Grants theme for a bit. My, am I shallow.
