It's finally stopped snowing here! It's been snowing and blowing for three days. The ground is white everywhere, covered in a thick layer of white bliss. :3

SNOWBALLFIIIGHT!!

*throws snowball at next poster*

For once - I'd actually like it snow over here ;-;.

...Well, it 'was' snowing just yesterday I suppose. Though it wasn't heavy enough to last on the ground for a while. And looking outside my window right now, I'm having difficulty trying to figure out wether it's frost on the roofs or snow ;/.

I wasn't the next poster, but if I was than the snowball would have melted before it reached me over here in Australia. Yesterday it was melt-your-face hot here... thank goodness for air conditioners. =D

But Australia doesn't really see much in the way of snow even in winter. -_-

I've heard some Australians haven't even seen snow :o I'd post you a big snowball if I had a box that could hold the cold~

It's summer down there now, isn't it?

Technically it's Spring until the Summer Solstice on December 21st. That's the same day as the Winter Solstice in the North. :3

Christmas and summer..such a strange combination to a northerner.

It's really strange yes. Snow is part of Christmas :)

I like the words solstice and equinox. I don't really know what they mean though..

I like astronomy too :3 I used to want to become an astronome or whatever it's called in English. But now I'm becoming a jurist instead :p

Astronomer, though I believe there's a more fitting term for someone who studies solar systems and galactic occurrences (which are what a 'solstice' and 'equinox' are; a solstice being one of the two times of the year furthest from the 'celestial equator' and an equinox being one of the two times of the year where the sun crosses the plane of the Earth's equator resulting in day and night being of the same length).

Aha, thanks :) I know the terms for that in my own language but didn't know those were the English ones.

Well, it's the distant stars and systems that are fascinating.

Wouldn't it be sad if you had never seen snow:(

I've seen it once D:

And summer and christmas kinda go. Like, we have a barbie most years :D

/me totally couldn't spell the word D8

I could seriously do without snow. Because of a big storm, my departure from campus could be delayed, putting a strain on my budget.

I went to school in the South to escape the snow. Apparently I didn't go far south enough...

How far south did you go? o:

I understand it snowed in Houston quite recently.

I am thinking about converting to Judaism...hm...big decision...

Ick. Supposed to get rain here on Christmas Day.

Snow on Christmas Eve. though. Which is good.... except that the rain will make everything a big slushy mess
