Maybe elsewhere, but it's definitely not like that on PC. I never expect people to be perfect mods, in fact, I expect mistake and mess-ups. As for "getting into trouble", it would take a pretty damn huge mess-up to get into real trouble on PC. We've given staff warnings before but it's only when a person gets really out of hand.

Modding, and being on staff in general (since with each rank up you go, you have to basically re-learn everything from scratch), is a huge learning process. It's right for some people, but like you said, it's not all it's cracked up to be. It's not always fun, it gets downright annoying sometimes to have to deal with people.

I can't speak for being a mod on pc but I have been one on other forums and sometimes it does get annoying when some members get out of hand. Definitely not for everyone. I'm glad I can just have fun and post and not have the hassle of worrying what other members are up to ska causing trouble.

I believe Twilight Sky was the D/P Mod at some point? That's what I heard, at least ^^

What about TwilightBlade? Was she a D/P Mod too? XD *remembered the screenshot of the April Fools' Day users-becoming-Mods thing from last year*

Yes, although I didn't exist up until recently on PC, a good friend of mine went back to find those April Fools' threads XD I really can't wait for this year's April Fools' now ^^ I expect creativity, of course~ Maybe PC will actually "get a slogan" =O

There was a time in PC's history (I guess 6 months to a year ago) where we had like a new Mod every week...
And then it dropped off and we got kind of bored. XD

Yes, they were both mods for at least a month.

wakachamo, Derrick (Twilight Sky), TB (TwilightBlade), Shiny Umbreon, Matt (Pink), Luke (annoying Ursaring name), Color Me Evil, Horizon... I don't think I'm forgetting anyone, hmm. x( That forum is one of the newest and it's had sooo many mods.

Pink and Britney (or Luke, as you call him XD) are S-Mods, so I'm assuming they either survived modding the D/P section or they just became S-Mods another way XD

I think the more Mods for that section, the merrier X_X It'd help, I bet, from what it sounds like.
 
I find it funny that many of PC's Higher Staff (and ex-Higher Staff) came from the Pokemon Handheld forums. It's like "if you can survive this forum you might have what it takes to be an S-Mod". XD
I think the largest bulk of PC's Higher Staff came from the handheld forums, and maybe OVP.

By the way, sorta been wondering this for some time, but... When will The DCC get a new funny title? XD I kinda miss those fun titles (I still wanted to see it when it was "I hope .Sublime likes his new username" or whatever it was X_X). I mean, "The Daily Chit-Chat" makes it obvious to everyone here, but still... XD

No offense to the non handhold game staff, but the main reason people come here is because of there gameboy and there ds, and the mods in that section gain a high amount of popularity around the forum, like color me evil and horizion are like god's to me and the other newbies in there section.

mod's in that section just become more popular:), people notice them without knowing it because they are in the section people originally came for.

But not all members come for the wifi section, some come for art and writting, I came here for wifi lol:)
 
I think I could attempt treading such a forum. I survived the Wi-Fi forum XD

Now, if only I could meet someone on here who OWNS Platinum XD I feel like I'm the only one sometimes X_X

But yeah, good luck to CME (who also apparently has a laptop to fix or something like that X_X) and Horizon once Plat. is released.

It was actually referring more to how that forum's gone through so many mods. :P

And last time I tried helping a mod out in there, I got yelled at for it, so I don't even bother anymore unless there's like a ton of reports. <_<;;

.... that's so not true ;-; I mod all the handheld forums except D/P/P, plus three other non-handheld forums, and nooobody knows of Jeff :[
