TwilightBlade and Shiny Umbreon were the last 2 DPPt mods.

mod's in that section just become more popular:), people notice them without knowing it because they are in the section people originally came for.

But not all members come for the wifi section, some come for art and writting, I came here for wifi lol:)

But being popular has nothing to do with getting promoted to S-Mod. Just because someone (or some Mod) is well known doesn't mean they're going to get the S-Mod spot. Doesn't matter how much people want it.

And on top of that... Mods in D/P also get a great big of crap thrown at them from the n00bs.
 
DPPt has been pretty ghost-like recently. Of course, that'll all change when Platinum is released. At least Horizon and I are in opposite time zones so we got all day covered. :D I'd say the noobs are learning but they never seem to. Horizon and I rule with an iron fist. }:<

How do we do it? High tolerance for noobs and a lot of padlocks in the artilery belt.

Maybe they just get more training with all the noobs in there section then the mods off more easier sections, maybe.
 
It means cutting your wrist, obviously. Meaning the noobs will be in overdrive with stupid threads.
 
It'd be nice if it was active with decent topics, like it has been in the past few days, but it's just going to be cluttered with "WHO'D YOU PICK AS A PLAT STARTER??!?" and "RATE MY TEAM PLSSSS" and "WHERE DO I FIND ______" when Platinum comes out. We have Q&A threads for that reason. |:

In that case, maybe you should get all the S-Mods to help you =D Though I'd think patient Mods like yourselves might be able to handle it on your own... But you never know... XD

I could help report pointless threads or posts so you guys don't have to locate them yourselves =O

Actually, I never did get what happens when you report someone XD I mean, I know the whole "state your reason why" when you're reporting them, but depending on the forum, it gets sent to only *a* specific Mod (or any Staff member, I guess?), right? But is it only sent to one Staff Member? And is the link to the post/thread included? That's just something I never got :/

Isn't she a mod because she wants to no one is forcing her to do it, shes spending her time doing it so one must assume that she enjoys it?

I'm in the dppt section I don't see that many noobs (maybe I'm just a noob so I cant see noobs) so since it would be times 5, she would have 5 to 10 noobs, and spliting that with Hor she has 2.5 or 5 noobs.
I mean she would be pretty sad if her section was dead.

Imagine what would happen if an Arceus event is revealed the same time Platinum is released. xD
 
I would probably cry and go /slash wrist some more.

Not to mention when the Arceus event is released, the Trade Corner will be millions of threads "WANT TO TRADE ARCEUS EVENT". ;A;

There's a difference between modding an active forum, and modding an active forum that's suddenly x number of times busier than before.

There is a limit before it just gets aggravating, and what might have been enjoyable to do before just gets frustrating once it passes a certain point.

Hmm... The Regigigas event ends before Plat.'s release, fortunately. And I know sometime in April Japan will release the Shaymin event through Wi-Fi for Plat. =D I already got the key that could get me the multi-forme Rotom, but that's besides the point. And I still need my friend to duplicate the event Shaymin I gave him so I can get it back in Plat. and make it Skymin >.>

DPP has drained quite a few mods. I wasn't extremely active around the entire board, but I have been here since '06 so I've seen the change-ups. :X

Matt modded Webmasters Discussion originally, and later he was modded in like half of the Pokemon gaming forums, including D/P. He did so well he was promoted to s-mod.

Luke started in Strategies & Movesets, and then took D/P when it needed help. Once again he did so well he was promoted to s-mod.

EDIT: Yeah Andy, OVP is totally good luck for upper staff promotions. :] Both Sammi and I came from modding NU/W and OVP at the same time and now we're both AAs, whee.

Come March 22nd(?) and you won't be the only one who owns it, that's for sure. ;) now go join one of our sexy tournaments!

CME and Horizon are a good combo team, they do a great job. Although sometimes I feel like the areas should be divided in DPP. XD CME has an amazing trade shop and knows the ins and outs there, but she responds with "o.o" when battle stuff/questions come her way. Not to mention, sooo many n00bs ask her "wnt 2 bttle????????"

Hahaha, but either way, they both do an excellent job and I don't see them scurrying elsewhere/demoting themselves because of the n00bs anytime soon.

But don't turn emo! That's the worst thing to be..I was emo last week. I'm surprised I still have blood circulation.

Why should need to get aggravating, I mean you the higher staff are here to help a mod if things get way out of there hands, correct me if I'm wrong please.

Sometimes when you get pounded that hard by that many active users, its hard. Lots of work. Some users just don't get the rules. It takes a real even hand in that situation to deal with it.
