And seriously, what happened to a simple capital? No one capitalizes the beginning of their sentences or the I anymore. Am I the only one who finds that frustrating? >>;

I don't so much as mind people who don't capitalise the beginning of their sentences than those who do it for every single word. Also, spaces on both sides of a comma...why?

I don't like all the things mentioned...

However, on MSN I'm often like: "i'm lyk bored n' stuff." Only since MSN doesn't matter.

Oh And Ya , This Kind Of Stuff Is So Ridiculously Aggravating . Pleese Learn To Write With Proper Grammar

Much to my own chagrin, there are no formal rules governing the proper usage of the English language anywhere in this forum. There's the character limit rule and the prohibition on profanity, but there's nothing regarding proper capitalization, punctuation, or sentence formatting. That should be rectified as soon as possible.

This forum is an English-language forum. This means that you will use recognizable English. It also means that you will not use hacker dialect (aka "l33t-speak") or annoying IM habits such as "ur" in place of "you are." You will also use capitalization properly, not to mention punctuation, sentence breaks, paragraphs, etc. If you don't like to type decent English, either learn or leave. Greater allowances for deviation from proper English may be made for those for whom English is a second language, within reason. You must at least give the impression that you are sincerely trying to construct proper English sentences.
I sincerely believe that flagrant disregard for the rules of the English language should be a ban-worthy offense.

I suppose MSN would be different since it's instant messaging. And typos and grammar doesn't really intervene much, since if you type too quickly, you make grammar errors and typos. :x Though I guess some people can type quickly and be able to avoid any typo's. Though still, I don't really enjoy conversations with people who have to type with improper grammar 24/7., since it's their "style." It puts me off really, and usually I find myself uninterested in a conversation with someone who has horrible grammar.

But talking like a "noob" or l33t grammar or whatever it's called, I do on occasion, to show I'm actually joking about something. And as Nica said, when I get bored.

HAHA WOW. YOU'RE HILARIOUS, JACK. BRAVO.

I seriously have no problem typing with proper punctuation and spelling, but I'm known to typ lyk dis if im feelin lyk a nub or if I'm just around friends who gets that I am not being serious when I type like that. XD;

But even on Myspace and other things like that, I type properly, while my friends don't. I don't really think it's a big deal, but it makes me feel less like a jackass to not say "lol" seriously.

This reminds me so much of the old me. .__.

Most of the time I'll talk with proper spelling and grammar. Not saying my grammar's the best. I mean, heck, it sucks, but it's better than it used to be. o_o

I Dont Like It When People Talk This This, And Stuff, And Use Weird Grammar, Placement, And Things

I sincerely believe that the level of desperation it takes to use a quote from "Pompey Music" just to convince people to type in proper english should be a ban-worthy offense.

A quote from what now? That should not matter, as long as it serves the intended purpose.

Honestly, I just type the way I talk on forums.
I have the weirdest grammar ever. I used to be a total grammar freak though. If you didn't capitalize your i's, I'd be all "HO SNAP- N00B! D<"
Heh heh. Yeah. D:

Also, is anyone else on Spring Break right now~?

I googled the first two sentences of your little quote and it came out exact on some page from a website called Pompey Music Forums.

Anyway, you don't need to go as super-amazing pwnage as to get a quote just to tell noobs to stop typing horridly. If they won't listen then leave, they're not worth your time.

I do not have Spring Break/March Break for another two weeks. ;___; I'm seriously sick of school though. I'm ready for a nice, long break. Even though a week is patheticly short. XD;

I don't intend on using that block of text as a weapon every single time I encounter someone who cannot type properly in English; that'd get real old, real fast. Rather, I want the staff to enshrine it as the very first rule of this community, and I want them to enforce it with extreme prejudice.

You can't dictate a way someone types. >>; You can advise against it but banning them for spelling sucks s-u-x is dumb.

If they refuse to follow that advice repeatedly and consistently, then they shouldn't be long for this place.

Heh. I make many, many typos, so I tend to try to check my posts before I submit them...usually. -_- I can understand people making typos - happens all the time, but I'm not a fan of people who consistently type a certain way (like making every word start With A Capital Letter Because Darn It Capital Letters Are Fun!), when it's really not that hard to type a normal, coherent sentence. =/

Generally the chat-speak people either disappear soon enough, or post in places I don't really go to. -_-

Autumn break for me starts in... three weeks, and that includes a test period as well. >_< And my holidays would only last for two-and-a-bit weeks anyway... ah well.

Two more weeks until my Spring Break starts for me.

I'm really excited since grandmother is coming over and I also get to play with all my new birthday presents. :P
