I kept the lights off in my VERY DARK ROOM and my roommate came upstairs and looked at me like I was nuts 'cause at the time I was just picking up my DS so it was literally just pitch black in here. XD; But yeah, I played DS the whole time and felt kinda bad but there's literally nothing else I could do without lights. :(

Earth Hour happens in about twenty minutes where I live. I'm definitely doing it though.

My mother is aiming to finish an incredibly hard puzzle within these twenty minutes. She's actually pretty close.

We didn't turn our loghts off :<. Well, I wanted to but my dad said there's no use. :<

I turned my lights off for about a hour.
Then my dad comes in my room and turns the lights on saying "Why are you in the dark?"
I said "Dad... *Sigh* Earth Hour" He probably doesn't even know what it is.

I think Earth Hour makes sense if you're very wasteful. If you're walking out of rooms and leaving all the lights on all the time, then that's bad.

What I did during Earth Hour tonight wasn't much different that what I'd usually do. I sat on the couch and I had one lamp one. I turn on the one that was behind me. Normally the one down at the other end of the room would be on as well. Every other light and electronic in the house was off. I had to watch TV because I had to watch a movie for class and it was on during Earth Hour, but that was it. I would've turn it off and played DS otherwise.

But...I don't see what sitting in total darkness does to accomplish anything. I think the point of the hour is to create a better understanding and discover that you can live with less. But if you're smart and conservative in your electronic use to begin with then there isn't much of a point.

Thats true, Triforce.

Really the only lights, are maybe the kitchen light if my baby sister wakes up and needs water, the two computers, the television, and maybe two lights.

I sat in a little stoner-circle with 5 people including myself around candlelight at my friend's house listening to Justice and various other bands off of my iPod. XD; the best we could do was its crappy built-in speaker. Earth Hour goes by incredibly quick when everyone's having a laugh and a good conversation and.. marshmallows. Many marshmallows. XD Then we kind of liked the idea of having the lights off and we just kinda kept them off and went out at around 10 to walk around town. Pretty fun. :D

The reason why my family didn't do it on time was because we were outside of home, and I'm pretty sure the staff there didn't care about Earth Hour due to the amount of people at the time.
I was actually under the impression that Earth Hour was a bit later.... I guess not.
Yeah it is cool if everyone does it at the same time, but if you can't, you can always do it another time during the day or even the next day, just as long as you do it. That is really the point of it at its basis...
