What is it with people and sunny holidays. D:
Skiing > lying on a beach

My country's climate is a lot like Japan's, really, just without the humidity.

You're showering for a whole hour? O_o;; I can do it in 5 minutes, and I'm a girl (even though most people seem to think otherwise on PC XDD)
My hair gets all curly after a shower and it takes me 5-6 times to get it straight so it wont be all wild in the morning. Seeing as its still wintery here its a pain to wet my hair in the morning and all so yeah 1 hour just for the hair. Otherwise it takes my only 5 minutes for the body. Yes i am a male that cares about his damn hair. Problems?!

Sunny holidays are nice in the winter if you live in an area with a really cold climate. But I have to agree, I'd muuuch rather be skiing than just sitting around on a beach or something. I LOVE skiiing. ♥

You don't have to sit around on the beach; just most people do XD.

You can surf, wake board, water ski. There are many things you can do.

Well, I just don't really like being in the sun in general. I never tan, I just burn, so I have to be extra super careful about not being out too long. And... I dunno. :( I actually quite like beaches so long as they're by the ocean except I never really do much at them but walk around. Still entertaining, suprisingly, but I'd just prefer to be out skiing. XD;

When you're getting ready to come home from the beach, you've got sand everywhere and that's annoying, not to mention if you've sunburnt, you've gotta deal with that, etc. But when you finish up a day of skiing and you pull off all the heavy equipment and head inside, that warming up period is just sdkljfksl. ♥ I dunno, skiing just appeals to me so much more but sadly, my mom refuses to take a cold vacation anymore. XD

Well you can get the sun burn from your goggles XP.

I get it though, it's just preference. I love snowboarding and the whole snowy scene, but nothing beats the beach or lake for vacation in my eyes. The sand does suck though. It's extremely crappy when you're super sandy and sun burnt.

I aaaalways return home from the beach sunburnt. 8( Especially when I was little because I'd be in and out of the water so much that the sunscreen just wasn't very effective. But it's more in recent years that I've begun to just hate being outside during the summer because I burn so much no matter what I do.

x__o I STILL have a bit of a mark (I assume it's a bit of leftover tan or... or something) from when I burnt really badly about 2 years ago. XD;

And I've yet to burn while skiing... I think. The last few times I went, it was so cold I had to wear a face mask anyway so there was understandably very little skin exposed. :P

Erica needs spf 1000 XD.

Were you skiing in a blizzard o.o; I fail to see how it's enjoyable when your spit can turn into an icicle before it hits the ground. It could just be that it's not my niche. :/

I probably prefer the beach/lake to snow because I live in So. Cal. and we have tons of beach front, literally our whole west side. XD That and I have a house in Laughlin, Nevada so I'm there pretty much the entire summer where it's always 110+ degrees. :D

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE the beach. The sun, the breeze, the sounds. The only thing I hate are jellyfish and the threat of sharks. I am not a winter person at all. I need sunlight and warmth to be happy. Otherwise, I get super depressed. I can't stand being outside in the winter any longer than I have to be. I've never been skiing my entire life. No desire to.

It's awesome. You can't see six feet in front of you and you can't feel any part of your body because you're too cold. You have to deal with the fact that if you make a wrong turn, you could smash into someone or fall of a cliff and you have to stay in control of your speed so you don't go to fast, which is extremely hard when you can't see what you're doing or who's beside you.

And all of that is horrible, I'll admit, but the adrenaline rush makes it all worthwhile!

^^Lol I'm not sure if I want do it it now. I was probably going to go somewhere like that for Christmas Break next year but bleh ._.

Well, it wasn't... quite a blizzard but the weather was pretty nasty. XD; The last day of that ski trip wasn't too fun because the wind was so strong it would blow you off course.

Aaagh I know 90s=late 20s in Celcius so I don't even want to imagine what 110 is. Oh god. @_@ I could NOT handle that. I hate being outside when it hits mid-20s here (80s there?) so sdfkhjdgd.

You pretty much have to spend the entire time in the water. That or under an umbrella. I usually come back with a pretty nice tan, I look like a bronze figure. XD

That's the scary thing about skiing, the wind, rocks, and all that other potentially dangerous stuff. Not saying wake boarding and etc. isn't dangerous, but spotting a ginormous rock that's under a blanket of snow is a bit hard. Plus with my luck, if I went skiing in the conditions you described, well, I'd end up smacking into a tree. D:

I hate the beach. Im fat and i really dont look good sitting there at 15 with blobs. But i love the snow cause all those clothes make me look thin. And i Just love the white wonder of the powder substance that entrances all human life. And the cold. I cant take heat i need to feel that i got the wind on me!

*Pms beachboy to look at this topic*

I go to the lake, since I live in Ohio and there's no beaches :F It's still fun swimming in Lake Erie, though. :3
