I'm actually getting a bit annoyed at how some one or few is/are changing this thread's title perpetually.

Don't you get socially lonely by getting homeschooled? It must be so bad. I like regular school because I get to socialize.
That's exactly the reason I prefer home-schooling. If it's just me and a teacher I can be awesomely fanspastic at what I do.

Uh, I still love the joys of taking the bus, having friends there, etc etc, and the fact my schedule ends so early let's me have both good and entertaining social and virtual lives ^^"

I like the action of going to school, too.

I mean, if it wasn't for that, I don't think I'd ever leave my room. So it's a nice change of pace.

I guess school is alright.. but it's not my favorite. I had today off, and I start semester two tomorrow! xP

Hehe, I finally hopped onto the Crystal Sprite bandwagon, XDD.

Anyway, yeah, I do like school on the most part. Gives me a good excuse to get out of the house, for one. Though I do loathe going to school just to be lectured by some idiot of a professor. Seriously, I think my feelings about the prof and my final grade are connected somehow. XD

Last year, school was an absolute nightmare for me 'cause I was staying up late and not able to concentrate the next morning. Grades were the worst I've ever had. This year, I've copped on a bit and I've managed to cut down on my usage of forums past one in the morning. The Christmas test results were as good as they could've been and I find that I'm really enjoying school now.

Also, my new thirst for knowledge is helping to. Hopefully that won't be leaving me for a very long time.

Meh, I like going to school, I take Algebra and advanced ELA, it's so much fun going, it makes me feel very smart :3.

Also, kinda off topic but I just Rick Rolled Jorah XD.

Ugh, I hate Algebra. It reminds me too much of English, believe it or not, XD. Too repetitive for my liking.

Calculus is much cooler. :D

Well most of your first calculus class involves a little bit of advanced functions, and then you dive straight into differentiation. That is, determining the slope of the tangent to a function. ^^

And once you learn the rules for doing this, it gets fairly simple. Though once that happens, you then have to learn how to do everything you just did, only backwards. XDD

How can you have lines and parabolas (for the tangent) in the same axis? What kind of equation will that look like? O_o

Eh, Higher Math is...ehhh
Bye?
Well I dunno what you mean by the same axis, but a line would be the derivative for a parabola, as it's one degree less. For example, the slope of the tangent of the parabola 3x^2 + 1 would be the line 6x.

Hahaha.... Calculus sounds very hard ._.'

I think I should enjoy Algebra as I am and do my homework.

O_o...Sorry, now I'm lost. XD
I'll try to check it out when I have the time. Bye for now...

PS: What happened to the x squared that creates the parabola? =/

Heh, I have an Algebra class coming up in just over an hour, and I'm not too thrilled about it. First off, it's a night class, which doesn't fit my schedule nicely. Secondly, we'll be talking about vector spaces and playing with matrices and things like that. And while I need the knowledge of this stuff to get into the computer science industry, it still isn't my cup of maple syrup. XD

EDIT: The rule for differentiating simple quadratics(or any polynomial, for that matter) like that is that you drop the exponent by one and multiply the coefficient by the original exponent. So, more precisely, that 6x is (3*2)x^(2-1) + (1*0)^(0-1). ^_^

I'm taking calc 2 right now...I actually enjoy some part of calculus, and I'm actually pretty good at it XD
