San Francisco? Must have been the Loma Prieta quake in 1989, then. As far as I know, most of the other major earthquakes in California since then have happened in the southern part of the state.

Ah you know, you're right. Because I remember them saying I wasn't born yet.

But yeah, they say it was quite the experience (good thing they weren't injured O___O)

That must have been scary for them o____o
Jesus, I would be so scared.

They were in a restaurant when it hit, and apparently everything started shaking/falling over. They were kind of dumbfounded, because they were never in an earthquake before. Meanwhile, everyone else was pretty much running for their lives XD

Oh man... Scary >____< Must have been quite the shake =[

I was outside doing chores in the barn once while an earthquake struck. It was just a tiny thing, and I didn't even realize it was an earthquake until later that day. You see, my parents' home is not too far from a gravel quarry, so I just thought they were blasting rocks, XD.

Yeah, not too many severe earthquakes in this part of the world, though we do get these tiny ones now and again. The last "bad" one to hit Cornwall was during the 40's, which measured 5.6 magnitude, and mostly did damage to chimneys and such.

Wow, that's quite a few earthquakes. I've never had any in my region in my life DX But, it sounds like you're still alive; I'm glad to see that :3 (or maybe it's your ghost, wishing to stay attached to this world forever =O)

I have an interest in the paranormal. I can't help it XD

But you worked in a barn? That's pretty cool :3 I bet you got a lot of exercise from it.

Well I grew up on a farm, XD. It used to have cows and horses and everything, but they were all taken away after my grandpa died(which was about ten years before I was born, so yeah, never saw a cow there). But we did have three sheep, and a bunch of chickens and geese while I was there. But now we don't even have them, heh. And the birds were not meant for eating, either. When the last one passed away he was in his early twenties, whereas most of his kind rarely live to see their tenth birthday. ^_^

And as far as I know, I am not a ghost. ^_^

I've never actually been in an earthquake, but there was apparently a small one that hit here in Kentucky last spring while I was on my way to Florida for our senior trip. I didn't hear anything about it until I got home.

I hate cows! They smell horrible! >:

I'm always jealous of people that have cows/horses or any other farm animals. I think it would make life more interesting =P

There have been small earthquakes here apparently, when I've been sleeping, but this is Ontario so we're on some pretty solid rock.

And guys, I just got accepted to the University I want to go to, and now I can't sleep. ;.;

=O Congrats! Which school?

Congratulations! I bet this was a big surprise for you, and you were probably relieved, unless you knew for sure you were going to get in. You seem like the kind that would put their mind to whatever it is they wanted to accomplish. But yeah. Not trying to be a suck-up or anything.

Anyways, once again, congrats! I hope (when it starts for you), that you have a good time at this new university!

With my grades I don't see myself getting into the the college I want to. Unless I do really well on my SATs.

Never heard of Nipissing, but it's cool you got into the program you wanted. =]

I didn't really have a favorite college...I just went with state school because it's cheap and New York's system still has some very good schools in it.

Hmm... I've been looking into a college one city away from where I currently reside, but it doesn't exactly have what I'm into...

One of the nice things about college is that the people who go there usually share similar interests to you. And I know opposites attract and sometimes people with many things in common with you might get annoying, but it's still nice to be able to be around people that understand you.

Or, at least that's the general idea I get of college.
