I decided I'm not going to history lecture anymore...I'll just attend the discussion sections. I can't understand what my professor is talking about, and she doesn't even put the notes up during lecture. I hate when professors do that DX
 
Erica that isn't good...that is when u do what I do...bring something to preoccupy yourself. Proffessors don't like when you just show up for the test. Plus even if you are just listening you still are learning.

I'm getting, like, less than 40% in the class, even with my work done. I doubt you could fail more than that with effort put in. I just do not understand math. My teacher suggests to get tutoring, but I never have time since I always do the chores at home and cooking when my parents are gone.

This is soooo familiar. >.> Oh! My Chem teacher that [insert bad word here]. I got like the lowest grade in my class.

My classes are so big no one even notices whether I'm there or not. :| But no, some of my classes literally were the teacher just reading deadpan from the textbook or the slides they required everyone to purchase when the course started. The prof would skip stuff at random and no one ever had a clue what was going on. :[

Same with me...some of my lectures have a couple hundred people in them. The professors and TA's (teaching assistants) would never notice if you're there or not. =D
 
I'm going to try so hard not to correct you on 'professor', Proof. I hate it when people do that to me in return, so yeah. >__>


None of my teachers do that thankfully. They always just leave the notes on the board for maybe two minutes and then go on with the lesson.

They don't count attendace in your classes?
 
They only count attendance in one of my really large classes. I could skip them and no one would know. In my recessitation/lab classes (which are a lot smaller), they take attendance. I seriously feel like skipping my political science class....it's extremely boring and I haven't managed to stay awake in it yet.

o_O No. It'd be a total waste of time to take the attendance of 100+ people, I would think. Even in my smaller classes I took at one point, they didn't take attendance. (Though you could get marks for participation.)

I still find it weird that any post-secondary institution takes attendance.
 
Maybe they want to keep an O_- (eye) on people that aren't wasting their money, but they shouldn't care they still get paid.

I only have attendance taken in smaller discussion sections, not lecture. Way too many people to count =O
 
Only three more months, then I'm on my way to the police academyyyyyy<3 I'm super excited for highschool to be over. I don't quite like mine. XD;

I agree. Getting marks for attendance and participation is just silly nowadays, specially in colleges/universities. Even in high school it's kinda useless.

Or maybe fighting crime is better than fighting fire.

Cause fire can't shoot bullets at you or get in a car chase with you ending with the criminal flying off a bridge into a trash barge. :3 Fire just burns stuff. lolol

That's cool, man. XD A couple guys at school are in something called Explorers.
