In 2003, there were:

60,000 known viruses for Windows.
40 known viruses for Mac.
40 known viruses for Linux.
5 known viruses for Unix.

That was in 2003, Linux and Mac can fix the problems very quickly so more than likely those 40 no longer infect Linux and Mac computers, but there are others today, I have read somewhere that there are 5 viruses for Mac as of 2008 and about 10 for Linux. That, I cannot find any source though so I don't know how accurate, or true that is. I also read that there are over 130,000 for Windows now. Again, could be false information. But it is true, Windows is insecure. That's why you need programs to get ride of malware and things of that nature.
 
Yep, that Windows operating system is as reliable as they come, alright.
 
I can agree with that.. I've had a few virus' on my computer. But it's pretty decent all the same.
 
I use Sophos Anti Virus which ever since we've had it has kept our computer clean :)
 
I use AVG Free when I have Windows, it has one the biggest virus definition databases, it doesn't slow down my computer as much, also it scans links in Mozilla and tells me if they are safe. Plus other fun things. :3
 
I like MAC's quite a bit because of their swish look but I find the navigation a little annoying & not to mention you have to convert so many files because Windows is the main company =/
