I haven't seen a Michael Bay movie, and I'm all the more fortunate because of it.
 
Michael Bay makes some good movies. >:(
 
I haven't seen Pearl Harbour but I have seen Transformers.

This is a little late, but...

The school systems in other countries confuse me as well. 8S You're not alone. We start high school at fourteen so as to keep the schools equal, with four grades in each. It goes freshman, sophomore, junior, senior. Freshmen are fresh from middle school and juniors are junior to the seniors. It's not that we find it wrong to begin at the beginning of the year, we just like our long vacation to be in the Summer. 8S

It's okay to be different, because the people you're being different from are also different from you, so if being different was a crime, everyone would be guilty. If that makes any sense. :S
 
XD; Our various stages of school are horribly skewed. XD; Primary is 6 years, Intermediate is 2 (seriously ?_?), and High School is 5.
 
Ontario can be pretty ridiculous. :/ There's like... junior kindergarten, then senior kindergarten. Then grades 1-8 are elementary school. 9-12 are high school. And people are whining because we no longer have grade 13. @_@ Ugh our school system is ridiculous. I did prefer not having middle school, though; I never understood the point of it. o_O
 
In Ireland you have two schools. Primary & Secondary. Primary lasts 8 years and secondary lasts 6. 14 years.
 
In our school district, the focus is that elementary school is to develop your brain into understanding, middle school is to prepare you for high school, and high school is where you know everything and you're ready to seriously learn. So you can be considered adults in the eyes of the teachers. :D

In all seriousness though, I dd enjoy Pearl Harbor too. Just that the romantic subplot went a bit long. Okay, so the movie is pretty much romance. XD;

As for school system, in America kindergarten through 5th or 6th grade in elementary, 6th or 7th through 8th grade in middle school, and 9th through 12th grade in high school. I guess middle school can be considered preparing for high school as Decapitated Goat mentioned, but yeah other than that don't see too much the point of middle school. D:
