And, if you don't believe me on always getting the second game named in the pairs first, here's the order I got all my games in:

Blue
Red
Yellow
Silver
Sapphire
LeafGreen
Gold
FireRed
Pearl
Diamond
Yellow
SoulSilver

I may end up getting both for myself, though.

I'm the opposite. XD I always get the first game in the titles, even though it was never on purpose. I just liked Red more as a kid, thought Gold was cooler, got Ruby because it was closer to Red, and Diamond because it's my birthstone.

:p And I want Black just because it sounds cooler than White. But I'm intending on playing the JP version so I'll be getting both when the EN version comes out too.

I went to the mall yesterday and some idiot was talking about Pokemon, he said "Since B&W are coming out, why not Brown? That just racist." lol xD
 
I don't know if I'll be getting them at all, but if I do it will most likely be White because I always seem to buy the second game (Blue, Silver, Sapphire, Leaf Green, Pearl, Soul Silver) and I need to keep that streak alive. Plus, White because Cure White is my bishie :3
 
Wow... Bet he thinks black and white TV's and black and white photographs are racist too :/

The thing is, I actually found the Super Nerds in the Pokemon games to be quite amusing xD
 
To be fair, the very first thought that came to mind when I heard the new names was "haha, oh wow. the politically correct are gonna hate this" and I still think the name choices were a bit ridiculous.

:/ Basic colours or not (moreso not, if you really want to argue the definition of colour 8D), places like the USA still have a LOT of racism issues to deal with and pairing Black & White like that... may not have been the smartest move. But oh well. Little kids will look past it so it's up to the parents and 20-somethings buying the games to ignore it and move on.

And hence why the first two seasons of Pretty Cure might never be released in the US (the heroines are Cure Black and Cure White), despite the fact that the first season is already dubbed and has aired in Canada.

They were really fun to battle :P

I'm probably getting White... for no reason whatsoever.
But I'll have a look with the version exclusives.

For the Canadian dub, they changed the girls' real names (from Nagisa to Natalie and from Honoka to Hannah) but they kept the Cure White/Black names for their magical girl forms. And I don't imagine they'd dub it in English all over again for the US... they'd just use the Canadian-market dub.
