You need a program to use the seed trackers, yes. I think that the only things that are legally distributed over those though are freeware files distributed from their official IP owners. That said, Michael Moore apparently uploaded and seeded Sicko himself because he really just wanted people to see it, though that's just a rumor I heard from some friends.
