I was in the Chess Club for some reason. Weird, as I play chess with random movements and know little about chess other than piece movements. We did not play against the clubs from other schools, sadly.

My last year of HS involved The Running Club falling into a road-becomes-pothole (literally, the road holed out from under them; school parking lot near gym) while on the way back. Two broken ankles. Teacher lost two teeth (incisor and molar). And I LOL'd hard while watching the evening news.

We had torrential rains last month and the university closed off one of the main roads that ran beside a pond for fear that the road would collapse, or as they put it, "the road was in danger of failing."

EPIC ROAD FAIL!

And quite a few people in our anime club discuss Pokemon regularly. We even have a tournament today XD

Did I mention my school has an anime club?
Yes...A long time ago, in a place that used to be known as DLTMSA....

I WANT A POKEMONEH TOURNAMENT TOO!!!
D=
;_;

This local hobby shop where I used to live held pokemon tournaments. It was pretty cool

We used to have Pokemon Trading Card Tournaments in our school. But of course, it was organized by me and my friends.
But that was around 4 years ago.

We didn't have anything like that (To my knowledge), but everyone collected the cards. They got banned at one stage because of all the fighting and theft going on over them xD

Me and my friends used to link battle (Yep, we were definitely the cool crew). There was this one kid I just couldn't beat, he was far too good =(

I'd clearly kick his ass these days though.

Daang, your school must have loved Pokemon so much LOL

I would actually consider picking up Pokemon cards again. I wouldn't go out and buy them, but I know some people who might still have some. Amazing how much money little pictures drawn on pieces of paper are worth nowadays.

I gave all mine away to my younger cousin.

Not that I was too fussed, I didn't have many rare cards.

They are so addictive...once you get 1 cool card, you gotta get em all! And they're so darn expensive! D=

I could never understand the mechanics of the game itself, so I was pretty much just a collector for the longest time. I loved the art on the cards, so even if I didn't get anything too rare, I was happy with them.

Though...I think I ended up really falling out of that area of the fandom after finally grabbing myself a Charizard and then...having someone steal it from me. D:

I think I had Blastoise shiny for a while. Can't remember what happened to it, but that was my rarest.

I have a lot of cards, although I haven't actually competitively used them.

See, nobody I know in real life plays the TCG, so the only use I have for them is solely for collection purposes.

I remember when I was in 4th grade, everybody brought the cards to school. I was so jealous because this one guy brought a Lugia card on the very last day of school. So guess what? I stole it. I still have the card...

I am such a bad person lol

Evil. D: There were a ton of people who did this back in my day, which sucked because I knew a lot of people who did a lot to get specific cards and then end up having them stolen. Heck, I remember my first rare card, a Zapdos, was stolen by someone jealous. XD;

I always the team rocket decks. They where so cool. Especially rocket blastoise

I never really got into Pokemon cards. It was always Yu-gi-oh cards for me.

There was this time when I was in Year 1 and our deputy principal came around to classes to say something and she saw someone playing with these cards. She took a pair of scissors and slowly cut the cards in half and threw them in the bin. It was traumatising experience, even though they weren't my cards. ;_;
