Maybe they think talking about Nintendo more would better suit a Pokémon forum? ;o

idk i r stoopid

Luck, I think Nintendo had the best conference of the three, personally, even from a gamers perspective. It's been a good few years since they actually showcased something worthwhile at E3, and the motion packages MS and Sony put out just seem destined to open more of the shovelware floodgates, and Sony's setup is going to be freaking expensive to assemble for the proper experience, while MS's isn't too much improved over the Wii's.

There's more than one big thing? God technology is weird. :( I feel so out of the loop. Also I thought one of the things Luck mentioned was a TV show...

Me, not being an owner of a Wii or lover of Zelda or Mario alike, would disagree. Their new system is just a DS with an analog stick, but it looks like much more fun and advanced than the…the Wii, lol. I can't help but laugh, since the console itself is such a joke. I will admit that I had a fangasm when I saw Golden Sun though. Golden Sun is like Zelda, but with the fun packaged.

I, being a hardcore gamer, actually liked Killzone 3 since it actually looked good. I never played inFamous, but I should probably play it to see how it is. And this may be the perfect opportunity to play a MMO since FFXIV was announced.

The 3DS games are going to be made in such a way that they aren't backwards compatible with older DSes, though, so I'd be missing out on some good games... and, for me, it gives me something that'd actually be just as useful for me as a smartphone, without having to pay those ridiculous data rates.

The Wii, hardware-wise, is laughable. And it doesn't help that it's apparently difficult to develop a good, non-gimmicky game for it.

Some of us don't get gifted consoles. My dad sees no need for a PS3, and I don't see any reason to get one yet, since that would mean selling off our 360, which we have 20 games for. And it would have also meant forgoing my new desktop if I wanted one for myself, which was something I didn't wanna go without, as my laptop saw more use than I would have liked it to, and it couldn't run my favorite games. also, you're not hardcore unless you use a PC to game

I played Portal once on my Mac. Does that count? ):

No. And I'm not hardcore myself because I rarely have time to game anymore, though I do use GameInformer to keep me informed when I'm offline, and it's frankly more entertaining to read than many online game news sites.

I'm subscribed to Game Informer, but their quality is wavering. I remember reading a review for Heartgold and I swear the writer kept talking about the Pokewalker for 2 paragraphs but things like pokemon following you only got a small mention. Geez, I could make better reviews than that.

Well you can criticize better, thats for sure. ._.

I'm flattered, but I already know that. I mean, they're complaining that they basically got the same game. Is it the fault of the game for refusing to change, or the fault of the writer for being such an idiot and complaining about something that's so obvious anyways?

Actually, wait. I never hear people complain that Zelda is the same thing even though it's "get sword, get shield, do puzzle, get boomerang, do dungeon, get x, do dungeon, repeat step 5 and 6 3 more times, kill y(usually ganon.)" At least the Zelda games now are better. Majora's mask blew.

The reviews did lose a lot of their personality with the whole big redesign, that's for sure. Many times I've found myself wondering whether it was a review or an advertisement, but its not enough to be truly alarming yet, since the old crew does write a fair bit of them still. Plus, being Minnesotan, and due to the fact that the magazine operates out of Minnesota, I do get a lot of their more subtle references to sports and their daily lives.

I should've read their article on whether video games can be art, but after playing Rayman and the Final Fantasy series, I think I already know the answer.
I really need to play Shadow Of Colossus, I kept hearing that game was awesome ):

It said that the video game industry needs to shake its inferiority complex and start ignoring the other, harshly critical media, saying that the other critical media apparently feel threatened.

I've heard the same things about Shadow of Colossus...

Ugh, lame. There are plenty of video games that play just like movies with alternate endings. Ignoring constructive criticism will do nothing :/

There are a lot of games that I need to play. I'm entirely skeptical of Team Fortress 2 but it must be something if so many people can be fanboys over it.

I've been left in the dust with recent video games, except for Pokemon.

Since m brother owns the XBox, he hermits with it in his room.
So I can't play it.

AND HE HAS ALL THE AWESOME GAMES, TOO.

Left 4 Dead 1&2, Orange Box, Mass Effect 1&2, etc.

I have Shadow of the Colossus. I tried to play it once, but I got to the first Colossus and promptly died. Having not saved. The opening, unskippable cutscene is like 30 minutes long.

Needless to say I haven't gone back to it yet. XD;
