I'm planning to get Mew in my japanese version of Blue. I replaced the battery so it can always save :3 I think it's fun trying to decipher all the katakana.. :33

If I still knew how to read katakana, I could probably manage to get through the Japanese version of a Pokémon game. I'd be fumbling around in the dark for much of the way, though, but I could be able to pull off a final victory eventually.

I think fumbling with it gives it that much more charm. It's a simple game to get through the storyline.. so why not add a sense of toughness to it?

Reminds me of being a kid and not knowing what "Tail Whip" was gonna do.. haha..

And it's worst when it's a horribly translated Pokémon Silver. Example: Who the hell thought about translating Hidden Power as Tea?!!!

Man I have no idea how it could be translated as tea, especially if it was in katakana. XD
Well, that's just plain unlucky and funny for those who're watching you play it. XD
Haha, yeeeeaah. It was embarrassing because I thought "Hey! That attack has a nice long name, let's go with that..." ...and then not so much. XD;

XD *snort* Well, at least it wasn't your last Pokemon? D;

...I had a very very tired Charmander left after it. :D;

God that game was so...freaking talkative. The only reason I got a decent amount into it was because the translations amused me so much.

XD; How unfortunate.

Is that the game that was attempted to be passed off as a Pokemon game?

Yes, those games were translated as Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Jade.

And you haven't seen the Pokémon Green translation.
Yes, yes I have. :D It's hilarious, though I couldn't play it for too long since it was basically a rehash of a game I already played, but it was amusing.

Yeeeah...it was awkward. XD;

And yes! It was Pokemon Diamond before there was a Diamon version.
