Maybe it IS a tumor, and that's how it was able to learn every TM and move tutor move, because it placed other tumors on all of the original Pokemon, and then before those Pokemon died, it took the tumors back, and learned all of their moves!

I really wouldn't mind if the colors were actually dark, but the yellow and light blue are incredibly painful.
