Lol, It's Arcanine's Japanese name. Myeah, I didn't have any inspiration at that moment xd.

Well I stopped watching on ep 230 or something, and as far as I could tell at the time, that was supposed to be the final battle. Right in the middle of it, they started a new filler arc, so I just stopped watching.

Yeah xd. But you should check some of the other first gen. Japanese names - don't know about the other generations -
like Zapdos is just plainly 'Thunder' in Jap, and Flareon is called 'Booster' ;d.

Lol, weird. I know everyone is complaining about one of the new 5th gen pokemon being called Gear, but it's a decent name really. It's not like it's a word that the Japanese hear... at all. So, it's creative to them.

To me, fifth gen doesn't suck, it's just different.
