St. Louis is usually rainy in the summer :<
I'll be sure to take pictures when it's completely autumn, it looks really nice then as well~
 
It's still reasonably warm where I am. Warm enough to wear my shorts which are so comfy and easy to wear :P

Either Hold Your Colour and Immersion are good albums. But I don't like In Silico very much... I only like 4 or so songs from that one...

And I like "Watercolour" more than "Propane Nightmares", btw.

That's nice to know. What that girl did was beyond cruelty.
They should do the same to her to see if she would like it.

I like how society looks at this as an awful act and the person should be severely punished, but when they see on the news something like a grown man being killed in a car accident it's not as awful.

I'll never understand how you humans work~

Did I mention anything in that post other than the puppies being saved? Then why did you judge me like that?
That is awful too. The problem is that people have started to get used to it. Car crashes happen almost every week.

Oh, I didn't judge you specifically, I just find it interesting how humans in general treat animals of more value because they're not sensitive to normal murder by their teenage years. It's a bit worrying to say the least since humans are one of a few species that have self awareness.

Just because it's common doesn't mean it's not tragic. That's not how most people look at it sadly, but it's true.
 
Here in the states, lethal auto-accidents happen daily, if you look at the country as a whole. And it's only the shockers that ever get covered by the media, which often will only air a story if it's got a "high shock factor" on evening news segments.

/cynical of the profit-motivated television news media

Also, that perception you have is tied to how the news media presents things to you, Luck.

At a national scale, yeah, but that's because it would be too tedious to cover every single accident. Plowing through local newspapers and paying attention to the local news, I often read and hear about lethal accidents, even those that don't have any shock value attached to them.

I generally don't watch the major news media, I tend to get my news from AP, NPR, and Reuters (do they really count as major media?) and they do a good enough job at reporting things fairly.
 
Ugh, I don't even have the time to go through the news much anymore... not that I'm particularly motivated to do so, anyway.
