The Day Care

I got my first Gyarados by leaving a Magikarp there before going for the third badge, then picking it up on the way to Fortree. It's convenient if you have a low-level Pokemon that you want to train, yet don't want to take up a slot in your in-game party. Other than that, yeah; it's not really for anything else other than breeding.

Aside from breeding, the only time that I can recall using the Day-Care was in my Platinum Wedlocke, because I had just lost 2/3 my team to Cyrus and we were about to get to Sunyshore City, so even though it wasn't the most optimal choice, I decided on the Day-Care so I could get in some extra levels and not have to worry about doing too much grinding in areas I wouldn't feel comfortable at. Other than that, I don't use the Day-Care for leveling much.

I've only ever used it once to level up my Pokemon and that was in Gold, when it first debuted. I didn't really know how breeding worked but I put my Chikorita in there and it was rather surprising when I retrieved it and noticed it was three levels higher! I used it a lot after that in Gold. I don't anymore since it's not really the fastest method of gaining levels xD

I have used it to breed Pokemon in the past but other than that I never use the daycare facilities, likely because I fear them overwriting a precious move my Pokemon has.

I really only used it for breeding, and only occasionally. I would breed for Pokemon I didn't have in the PokeDex, like say I had a Swellow and not Taillow, and I couldn't catch Taillow in that game, I would breed for a Taillow. That method generally isn't my favorite. I prefer evolving up instead of breeding down, but business is business :)

I haven't been to the Daycare at all in White 2. Actually I don't even remember where it is in White 2. I'll find out soon though because I'll need it eventually.
