I *used* to wear glasses. I wore them throughout my middle and high school years, and after graduating I went ahead and got eye surgery. Almost 4 years later and my vision is super awesome. I have a feeling I've mentioned this a bazillion times but whatever lol

I do miss wearing glasses though. They *were* part of my personality. I'm so tempted to buy fake glasses so I can stick with them. I feel a bit bleh without them.

I wear glasses, I don't like them because they cause my eyes to get all itchy and watery if I keep them on for too long. But given the alternative (shoving a contact lens in my eyeball), I guess I'll stick with the glasses.

I don't need then unless I'm watching TV or driving, so I usually don't put them on unless I'm doing one of those two activities.

If you need glasses, aren't they provided by healthcare etc?

Not if you wanna look like this guy:

And especially not if you need your lenses thinned because you're SO DAMN BLIND... like me. That stuff costs even more than normal glasses.

I hate having to stick with the glasses the government provides since I couldn't get anti-glare lenses. The frames actually look decent, though.

Another reason I only wear mine when absolutely necessary.

I actually failed a DMV eye test, which alerted me to the fact that I had cataracts forming in both eyes. Later had to have both eyes operated on.

And that's fail the EYE test. I passed the written and road tests with flying colors :P

Well, that does make sense given your geriatric age. :P

But, in all seriousness, cataracts are definitely nasty. Fingers crossed I don't end up getting them, although my mum's side of the family is known for them.

Well, what?? They don't provide specific ones here, you pick the ones you want (and are right for you) and they pay for it lol. I thought it was like that everywhere?

The government does not provide "anti glare" glasses for free though, just ones without it. They still provide a variety of frames and such to choose from though.

I've had the same glasses for several years now. Don't think my eyesight has changed too much so it's all okay! Though maybe the next time I go to the eye doctor I'll get a new pair because I don't need more contacts. I have plenty as it since I rarely wear them.

ahhaha.. government. I actually pulled a 90 on my Government midterm. I was so pleased with myself. ♥

I don't wear glasses but I legitimately have to wear sunglasses outside otherwise it's hard for me to see. So it's kind of like wearing glasses... just stylish aka make me look better and outside. :3; Luckily eye test @ permit was inside and not outside otherwise I'd have definitely failed lool.

I have difficulty seeing fine details at a distance, like text on television or road signs, which is why I need glasses. Up close, my vision is perfectly fine, which is why I actually prefer to watch videos on the computer. I can sit closer to the screen so I don't need my glasses.

Got my most recent pair last summer. My old glasses were bent horribly out of shape and the lenses would keep falling out of the frame. I suppose that's what I get for falling asleep while still wearing them, lol
