I don't think I've ever needed sunglasses. I've been perfectly fine in the bright sun with just my normal glasses - or none at all. Sunglasses would be a hassle to wear over my regular glasses and I'd probably lose clip-on lenses. And those transitional lenses that darken in the sun aren't covered by gov't insurance.
 
I need sunglasses when I go outside. I kinda hate the sunlight in my eyes. Plus, they can be quite stylish like Nica mentioned. :3 So it's sorta like a must-have accessory for me.
 
I like wearing stereotypical nerd glasses just because they're fun, and the same with those Kanye West-style shutter shades which look stupid as anything but are funny so whatever. I don't wear glasses for any actual reason though and I don't wear sunglasses.

Lots of insurance plans may cover only one pair over a certain period of time. And even then, only up to a certain amount. Then you're on your own.
 
I have prescription sunglasses that I've worn on precisely one occasion. Maybe it's because I need to carry my regular glasses with me whenever I wear the sunglasses, but I've never really gotten much use out of them.
 
I know my uncle goes through those cheap $5 sunglasses like water, since he's always forgetting them at someone else's house, or leaving them on the car seat and sitting on then next time he gets in... I think I've owned one pair of proper sunglasses, and that was back when my vision was good enough where I didn't need glasses. Like when I was seven or something lol
 
I have a pair of magnetic clip-on sunglasses in this room somewhere that I got for driving to give me additional eye protection on very bright days (I already have that anti-glare coating on my normal lenses). They're actually more useful on sunny winter days than they are on sunny summer days because the snow provides more angles for the sunlight to bounce off it and into your eyes to blind you!

I wear glasses but I hate them I look so much better without them. :(

But omg Yoshi, I didn't know that about darker/lighter days, that makes sense, omg.

second days = eyes, lol. /fail
 
Wait, we're still on the glasses thing?

Well, then I feel I should mention that I have bifocals now thanks to cataract surgeries in both eyes. Where does that put me on the coolness and/or nerdy scale?
 
I have no need for sunglasses! I have very stylish glasses that get darker when they're exposed to the sun! It's something I'm quite proud of, especially since I bought them with my own money.
