I am quite interested in this challenge! One question: I do not have anything to hack with, so could I just trade in an egg of the Pokémon generated?

Eggs are fine, but hacking is recommended. Obviously if you're doing it on a real console then it's harder but yeah eggs are fine.

UPDATE: I have deleted many people from the challenges sections because they haven't replied to the challenge in quite some time, if you're one of those people please feel free to reapply for the challenge!

Mini update. Got through Rock tunnel + defeated my rival in the Lavender Town. I need to train some more before Erika and I also lost my first Pokemon :/ Jelly the Tentacool - I lost it against... A geodude that outsped him + used magnitude 10 and got crit .-.

Team Generated: 6: Octillery (Remoraid), Petilil, Reshiram, Durant, Luxio (Shinx), and Patrat.
Optional Rules: Can fully evolve all Pokemon, if needed, can have an HM slave that won't battle

My team currently consists of:
Reshiram (R) Lv. 29
Luxio (Cinderella) Lv. 28

We beat Roxanne and got the Stone Badge!
Thank goodness for Jacques knowing Psybeam. I beat Brawly and got the Knuckle Badge!
Cicero died thanks to Triathlete Dylan's evil Doduo...
Reshiram swept Wattson's team and I got the Dynamo Badge!
I easily beat Flannery with Jacques and got the Heat Badge!
Sergei was killed by Norman's Slaking, but his Bug Bite stole the Sitrus Berry that Slaking had and made it possible for R to take him down. And... I lost Hyacinth and Jacques to Norman as well. That leaves me with two remaining Pokemon and an HM slave. Seriously? This sucks... Next time I'll get more Pokemon for my Eliminationlocke.
I'm ending the game here... I don't think I can make it to the league with just two. Sorry...

Any optional rules?: No legendarys (I got a mewtwo on my first random pokemon, thought it might be a little bit OP), Can have HM Slaves but they cannot be used in battle even for death fodder, every pokemon can have eggmoves and hidden abilitys when they are added.

Solo is playing through one game - ultimate is playing through one game from each generation [For example- Red-Crystal-Emerald-Platinum-White 2- Y].

DANG NOT EVEN BAD! Sacred Gold IS a hard game, so this is good. Wish me luck!

Update on 1st Gym! (Planning to do updates after every gym)
Got my team gathered up and was rockin with Lileep, Aron, Treecko, Torchic, Mareep, and Spheal and got them leveled up around Level 15
Both Piplup and Gible were grinded up to Level 12, just in case someone died
Treecko evolved into Grovyle, Torchic is now Combusken (And named them all btw), and Mareep is now Flaafy
Cleared tower with some ease, and defeated Falkner with Flaafy and Lileep with no deaths
Now at the Tunnel, getting closer to the 2nd gym.

So here's a look at everyone:
Combusken (#Heights) Lv. 16
Grovyle (Bud) Lv. 17
Aron (Emmitt) Lv. 13
Lileep (Smokin it) Lv.15
Spheal (Tusks) Lv. 17
Flaafy (Sexy Baab) Lv. 18
