The Everlasting Pokémon Journey

...take out your mirror and you almost drop the mirror in shock. Instead of your reflection staring back at you, it's a vaguely familiar red haired man wearing glasses. Before you scream, he quickly tells you not to be scared. He introduces himself as "Mr. You" and says that yes, the name is weird. He explains that he was once a protagonist in this thread controlled by millions of voices, and to break free, he expelled his soul from his body. However, a Monster Overlord possessed his empty body, and to avoid completely fading into nothingness, he asked Mew to reincarnate himself within you and has been staying within your mind ever since. He looks at your angry face and assures you that he respects your privacy and never peeked into your thoughts, memories, or secrets. He also closed his eyes every time you went to the girls' room. He asks for your help in finding and destroying the Monster Overlord, saving the world from his tyranny, and getting his body back so he can go back to his beloved wife Emma and his son Erik. After thinking it through, you decide to help him, but ask that he waits until after Valentine's Day before you help him. He thanks you and then vanishes. You see your face in the mirror now. You then receive a text message from...
 
... Ellen. For an apathetic figure, it will be kinda rare to receive such message from her and you decided to read it out, which somehow surprises you by a lot.

"You have a visitor, nerd. Go open the door so I don't have to be questioned again. I'm busy, okay?"

Opening the door, you noticed a glimpse of a familiar figure but soon vanishes as you wanted to take a clear look of it. Seems like the mysterious presence is hiding itself once more, soon you bumped your feet into an unnoticeable Poké Ball just below your skirt. Taking the Poké Ball, you pressed the button and out comes a Fire-Type Pokémon. Its body is shaped as a feline-like creature, possessing furs as bright as flames, and holding a piece of stick on its hand. A headache began to struck, but soon fades as you somehow recognized one of the thousands lost memories.

"...Pai...ra...Pyra?" You mumbled, the Fox Pokémon smiled and hugged you for remembering her nickname. It feels warm and nice, but there are many things to come and you are unsure of, especially given that strange man appearing out of nowhere claiming you to be his reincarnation. Sounding so cliché at first, however you decided to believe him and put her back into her Poké Ball. But to which point should you start?...
 
...you lie on your bed still very surprised at seeing Mr You. Trying to take your mind off things you put on your glasses on and finish your type matchup homework. Turns out that the events of today have made you tired you fall asleep and hear a male voice from somewhere say 'Goodnight Miss Sylvia.'

You are awoken early the next morning by knocking which you open. 'We do have class today you know.' Ellen said but oddly did not toss her hair as it was tied into a bun.
'It's just I am thinking about the Valentine's dance tonight and why do you care about whether I go to class or not...' You were cut off.
'I am not a bad person.' The dark haired girl said before Danielle appeared.
'Hey Danielle.' You say. 'You got your gown sorted yet.'
'It's just a dance.' Danielle says confidently as Ellen rolled her eyes. The three of you then head to the class where Richie and Steve are. You hug Richie and it turns out the subject of the class is...
 
Fire safety. You began to wonder why such a topic was brought up, but then, you heard the alarm ring. It turns out there was a real fire in the lab which was caused by an overtuned bunsen burner that was left untreated. It was said the fire was quickly spreading to the rest of the school, and everyone was told to quickly evacuate with all belongings. Thankfully, by the time everyone escaped with all their belongings, the school burst into flames.

You tried to think of a way to make things better, and you had an idea. You found someone else's Gliscor out of it's ball and you told it to use Thunder fang on you. This caused you to get electrocuted and change your gender once again. You proceeded to rush towards the nearest fire hydrant and kicked it at full force, causing it to burst open. Somehow, the water magically shifted towards the burning school for no reason, and the fire was extinguished! Everyone cheered at your bravery and were glad nothing else bad happened.

Soon, you saw a teacher holding a photo who rushed towards you. Turns out he took a picture of 2 mons causing trouble at the lab, and it seemed like they caused the fire. You recognised the figures as the Archeops and Eelektross duo who tricked you before and gave you the power to change genders. You wanted to go hunt for them, but then again if it weren't for them you wouldn't have saved the school. You...
 
...are prodded awake by Richie. 'Sylvia you fell asleep everything ok?' You nod and apologise to the teacher for falling asleep before listening to the rest of the lesson on Pokemon history.

You are greatly bemused by the dream you had and resolve to discuss it with the mysterious Mr You at the first opportunity, you wonder if Mr You is part of you hence the dream of gender flipping.

Still in deep thought about Mr You and the dream you head to the cafeteria with your friends where the four of you order...

...Some fish soup. There was a special offer for it in which if you paid 1.5x the price they will give you 2, which is what you did, thinking of giving the other fish soup to a friend. While eating, you saw the Archeops and Eelektross duo sit on your table. They told you that if you gave the 2nd fish soup to the poor-looking Spinda sitting alone at the corner, he will grant you a wish. You thought it was too good to be true, but you remembered in your dream that your power to swap genders saved the school, so after you finished eating the first fish soup you brought the second one over too the Spinda. But then, you notice that after consuming the soup, the Spinda began to transform, and it turned into...
 
...an Intimidating Krookodile. The Archeops and his friends go to laugh but are stopped by you adjusting your glasses and sending out all three of your Pokemon.

Your Petilil dodges a Crunch before severely wounding the Krookodile with Absorb. The Archeops falls in one hit to Pyra's Flamethrower whilst your Ever Eva distracts the Eel Pokemon with Tail Whip before Pyra Ohkos the Electric Mon with Psychic. Lily the Petilil finishes off the Krookodile and you have defeated the tricky Pokemon.

Those watching cheer and Richie gives you a hug. You still have another class to go to before the Valentine's dance. So holding Richie's hand you and your friends go to your next class which is...
 
... the detention room. The principal looked at you intently again with his cup of coffee, giving you another warning about not to do battles in cafeteria while also kicking out the two random Pokèmon out of the place without any reason. Perhaps you won't have to see them again unless you went outside. Going outside from the room, your vision seems to be affixted into a poster. "The Annual Monthly Pokémon Competition starts at 19th. This includes many specialties that you're confident with where you will compete with the other university. Prove that ours are better, small heroes of unexpected potentials." Seems like an important event will be held at the next five days. You...
 
...was surprised at hearing this dream but says it may mean you have powers like he has. You explain to Mr You you don't want to change gender. Mr You understands this and your little Petilil says 'Tell him you can understand us Miss Sylvia.' You say this to Mr You and he is overjoyed. You have the power to understand Pokemon, a tremendous gift.

You explain how you can only understand your own Pokemon and he says it will be a power that improves over time. You admit you are scared and Mr You answers that you remind him of his wife Emma who was scared of her power at first.

Mr You then says you need to get ready for the dance tonight. As Mr You disappears from the mirror for now you see your own reflection. You take off your glasses, put your hair into a bun and put on a red ball gown with white shoes. You think over the events of the day for a while before there's a knock at the door. You open the door and see Richie in a smart shirt and trousers. 'You look elegant.' He says.
You blush and holding hands the two of you head to the dance and on the way you see...
 
...a strange man. He stares at you in an angry manner, almost as though he hates your guts. After he walks away, you ask Richie who that is. He tells you that he's the Pokemon History teacher, Dr. Kruger. He hates his job and hates all the students, but he's not a horrible person. His wife who used to teach here was killed a few years ago in an accident in a kid's prank gone horribly wrong, which is why he despises all the students here. He also once saved the Principal's life, and as thanks, he was given a job here. You and Richie then see...
 
...Ellen. You say to her she doesn't look dressed to go to the Valentine's Dance. She tightens her bun and tells you that's because she's not going to the dance. You ask if that's because she has nobody to go with. She sneers at this and says 'No nerd. I'm not going because I'm busy tonight...you and Richie look very smart tonight.'

As Ellen leaves Richie says 'She must really like us a couple.' You hug him and agree. Walking hand in hand the two of you head to the Main Hall where the dance is taking place. You see Steve and Danielle are already there but oddly Danielle is in a t-shirt and jeans. You greet the pair and ask Danielle...
 
...where the toilets were. She pointed the direction and so you headed off. Soon, as you approached into the place, you saw a box with a note attached saying 'here's a gift to prepare for the big challenge. Don't worry too much and you'll be fine!" You then opened the box, and soon you came face to face with a whole collection of mons. For some reason, your brain connected and told you these belonged to Mr You, and these were his entire set of mons he obtained his entire journey. He gave them to you to take care of until he can fully controll himself.

In shock, you immediately put the mons back into the box and rushed into a cubicle, only to realise it was empty. You tried to press a switch but it electrocuted you and you turned into a guy for another time. You...
 
...yell 'Can't I be a normal girl for 5 minutes?' Now back as a girl Mr You appears and says 'I'm sorry Miss Sylvia but it appears when you get electric shocked my form appears momentarily.'
You nod at hearing this.
'My Shiny Jellicent Helena, Salamance Slifer and Gardevoir Rebecca will help you in your journey.'
As you nod again he reveals that most of his other Pokemon including Ace Lilligant Jessica are helping Emma and his son Eric.
'It is imperative you train your Petilil and Eevee young Sylvia.' Mr You says. 'I am sorry to put this on you but you are no ordinary girl but an extraordinary one with a great gift.'

He disappears from the mirror as you fix your hair and go back to dance with Richie.
'You look beautiful tonight Sylvia.' He says.
You blush as you dance for some time and you see Danielle and Steve laughing about something. Your Pokemon also dance and you see your little Petilil happily bobbing up and down. You knew you would soon have to evolve her and Eevee to help Mr You.

Richie walks you back to your dormitory and romantically kisses you before saying he will see you tomorrow.
You enter your room still taking in the events of the day. You untie your hair and lie on your bed in thought and then...
 
...Pyra immediately comes out of her Ball and tells you that danger is coming and to move now. You do as the Delphox says and just as you move, a black energy ball comes in from the window and obliterates your bed. You look in shock and see Mr. You just outside the window...except something seems off. His eyes are black, he has demonic wings, and you can feel the real Mr. You inside your head. You hear Mr. You say from inside your head "That's the Monster Overlord! He's the one who stole my body!" The Monster Overlord then blasts the wall, enters your ruined room, and says "Well look at that. It seems that you did survive, Mr. You! And now you're inside a young girl!" He laughs before adding "Should I call Chris Hanson?" Mr. You asked to borrow your body for a moment. After allowing this, he uses your voice to scream "Give me back my body, you abomination!" The Monster Overlord laughs and says "You want it? Go ahead and try to take it from me!" You try to think of a way to get back Mr. You's body from the Monster Overlord without damaging it. You ask Pyra to...
 
...create a forcefield to allow Mr You to reach the Monster Overlord without damaging Sylvia. She does as asked and the Monster Overlord laughs.
'Mr You you chose the body of a young girl, a rookie trainer more interested in boyfriends and her hair than the fate of the world.' He sneers. 'Mr You...You chose poorly!'
Mr You is about to fire off a retort when Sylvia says 'I will defeat you...Eva Trump Card.'
The little Eevee then runs up to the Monster Overlord as a stack of cards fall on him. 'Lily Entrainment.' Sylvia yells.
The Monster Overlord starts bobbing up and down in unison with the little Petilil and says 'Impossible.'
A female voice says 'The vessel is stronger than we thought, Regroup sir.'
'This isn't over Mr You.' The Monster Overlord says before disappearing.

You fall to your knees breathing heavily from the energy that has just surged through you. Mr You is impressed. 'Miss Sylvia.' He says. 'It appears I was fortunate in choosing you.'
'I am the vessel?' You ask still out of breath.
'Yes but...' Mr You says. 'You are the heroine.'
'I must tell my boyfriend Richie and...' You say but are cut off.
'No Miss Sylvia.' Mr You says. 'You must tell nobody lest they are put in danger.'
Mr You wishes you goodnight.

A knock is heard on your door. You open it to see Ellen. She has her hair up still and you are surprised to see her wearing square black rimmed glasses.
'What's all the noise about?' She asks seeming frustrated.
You close your eyes. 'Just getting a new bed, my mattress is broke.' You answer knowing Ellen wouldn't believe you anyway.
'Well keep the noise down, some of us are here to study you know.' She fixes her hair and goes back to her room.

Noting she did not call you 'nerd' you try and take your mind off things by opening your PDA and reading about...
 
... a comedy 4 pieces comic. Giggling on the reference and gag included into the pictures, you decided to call it a day. It might be awkward already, going through strange series of events and then kissing with someone, in the lips. "...uh...why did I do that...?" You mumbled, keeping your embarrassing fantasy to sink in within your wet dream.

It was morning. You woke up from sleeping at the table. You're reminded by his words, but you can't just go. Your mom will be furious and she will disown you for real if she finds out that you're quitting for this kind of reason and your friends will also be discouraged by your sudden change of heart. How long can you wait? It's not like the Monster Overlord will always send out more of his underlings or even show up to tease you out. You...
 
...ask Mr You 'What happens to me when the Monster Overlord is stopped and You are reunited with your wife? Do I die?' Mr You reassures you that you will not die and once he has his own body and family back that you will be healthily rewarded.

There is a knock at your door. 'Nerd Girl are you coming to class or not?' You open the door and see Ellen stood there again. Her hair is down but she is still wearing glasses and seems to be friendlier than usual. 'Good Morning. I think Danielle already left.' She says flipping her hair.

You hurriedly grab your PDA and travel to the class with her. You sit next to Richie and listen to the teacher about Pokemon History. You notice...
 
...that Danielle wasn't in the classroom. Is something wrong, or is she just late? Unfortunately, she doesn't show up for this class, the next, or the one after. You become worried and decide to check her room during lunch. You check her room, but she's not there. You see Ellen and ask her if she has seen Danielle anywhere. She says no, and then says she has things to do and just walks away. You almost begin to panic, but you decide to keep looking. You'll search the entire school if you have to! You finally see Danielle coming out of the Nurse's office. Her left arm and leg are completely covered in bandages. You ask her what happened. Apparently...
 
...she saw a truly terrifying Demonic laughing image in a hallway and the shock caused her to fall down the stairs causing her left arm to break and her left leg to become severely bruised but thankfully not broken. You hug and console Danielle and tell her everything will be ok.

You know this is The Monster Overlord's doing so run to your room to talk to Mr You. You are scared that he is starting to target your friends. Mr You reassures you your friends will be ok but you are not convinced.

As you run your fingers through your long red hair you notice...
