Your Dratini might have a chance but now he's fainted, how are you supposed to do it with two Pokémon that are in type disadvantage? You haven't taught your Petilil and Sylveon any kind of super-effective move just for this thing either, and knowing that Amoonguss is very bulky, this will be a very formidable foe to take down. ...to switch out Lily for Eva. As the Sylveon switches in, Amoonguss uses Ingrain. You then have your Sylveon use Misty Terrain, which blocks Amoonguss's Spore. Next, you have Eva use Light Screen as Amoonguss uses Sludge Bomb. It reduces Eva's HP to almost half. Eva uses a Pixilate boosted Hyper Voice, but that only takes its HP to more than half, and that was with a crit. Meanwhile, Amoonguss heals some HP with both Giga Drain, and Ingrain's effect. You think of what to do. The mushroom is steadily gaining HP, one crit will finish off your Sylveon, your only other Pokemon (Lily the Petilil) is much frailer, and Misty Terrain and Light Screen won't last forever. ... act as if she had seizures or certain symptoms like food poisoning since last night's meal wasn't even good. It may sound so crazy, but this is pretty much an unwinnable situation at this point. Your Sylveon reluctantly agrees on the deal and returns to the arena. Ellen smirked, pointing her finger to use Sludge Bomb again. However, the plan was executed right away. Eva lets out a choked noise, coughing numerously, curling and stiffing her ribbons, and rolled on the floor erratically with foamy mouth. "Eva! What happened to you?!" You yelled, roleplaying the situation. Everyone can only look in confusion while Ellen shows her disgust as the medical team came to the rescue. The tournament was put on hold and postponed for the next 20 minutes until they can find the cause. You may use any kind of substitute if you have any. The match reconvenes and your Sylveon has now recovered. 'Did you just try talking to my Pokemon nerd?' Ellen said. 'Don't you think I researched your team, this Mushroom Pokemon was brought here specially to counter yours.'

'Miss Sylvia' Your little Petilil says whilst sitting on your shoulder. 'Ellen does not love the Mushroom Pokemon as much as her other two Pokemon.' This gives you an idea. 'Eva RETURN' You yell. Your Sylveon glows pink and charges towards the Mushroom. The move crits knocking the Grass/Poison type out of its roots. You had won.

You heal and celebrate with your Pokemon and offer to heal Ellen's. She tosses her hair and consoles her Vulpix and Milotic. She pets an Espeon which she also has but leaves the Amonguss. You feel bad for the Mushroom Pokemon and give him some Black Sludge to hold. He jumps up happily and follows his trainer.

Richie hugs and congratulates you saying he is pleased you got through. It turns out him and Danielle got through too. The next round is not for a while yet so you all head to the cafeteria where you order...

The Amoonguss commited suicide! If so, then what were you fighting just now? The Psychic leader then said he would tell you but first, you needed to battle him.

He summoned a Solrock and you summoned your Petilil. Even though Solrock was faster, it barely made a dent with Confusion and proceeded to be OHKO'd by Giga drain. He then switches to Medicham who uses Swords dance. You...

...ordered Petilil to use Giga Drain again which she did. Medicham went for High Jump Kick which missed causing the Fighting Pokemon to faint. The Psychic Leader was frustrated but impressed and sent out his final Pokemon Starmie.

The Mysterious Pokemon used Ice Beam which caused severe damage to the little Petilil but it impressively OHKOed the Star Pokemon with a critical hit Giga Drain. You were through to the next round.

You ask the Psychic Leader for an explanation and he shrugs saying he has no idea as Ellen appears behind him. 'You see nerd girl, I ordered Amoonguss to use Double Team whilst you were tending to your Pokemon so you told my Amoonguss' double which didn't really exist in the first place to jump off.' She tossed her hair. You were relieved that all her Pokemon were safe but surprised she didn't seem to notice you could speak to Pokemon.

You see the end of Richie's battle where his Alolan Vulpix defeats one of the school scientists Pokemon to advance to the next round where he will face you. You congratulate your Petilil Lily and then...

...you see a strange clown wearing a tuxedo. He looks sad. You ask him what's wrong. Apparently, he lost his unicycle, and without it, he won't make it to his wedding on time. You and Lily decide to help him look. After searching for ten minutes, your Petilil finds the unicycle inside a trash can. The clown is both happy to have his unicycle back and furious that someone would throw it away. He gives you a Lucky Egg and your Petilil a Sun Stone as thanks. He then snaps his unicycle in half and it transforms into a UFO. Somehow. He then flies off at the speed of light. How weird! You wonder whether you should evolve your Petilil now or save the Sun Stone for after the tournament. After thinking about it for a while, you decide to...

Richie wishes you luck as he sends out his first Pokemon, Alolan Ninetales which you are surprised he evolved. Knowing it's a very unfavourable matchup for Lance you send out your Sylveon Eva and order her to...

...attack with Hyper Voice. The attack does a lot of damage, enough to score a KO with another attack next turn. Unfortunately, not only does Ninetales's Blizzard hit, but it also causes your Sylveon to freeze. As you use a Lava Cookie to cure the freeze, Richie takes advantage of the situation by ordering his Alolan Ninetales to use...

... another Blizzard, ensuring the pressure are intact and ate the Salac Berry, boosting its speed even further. At this rate, you can get wiped out if that Pokèmon managed to defeat your Sylveon with another Blizzard, unless Light Screen is set up which can be very great but considering that Alolan Ninetales is very fast, this is as worse as facing that Amoonguss. Ideas ideas, those trainers sure always pack checks. Your next move is...

...Light Screen. Luckily the Alolan Ninetales Blizzard misses before Light Screen is set up. The next one hits however but the damage is significantly reduced by Light Screen leaving your Sylveon reasonably healthy. Your Hyper Voice hits and just about faints the Alolan Ninetales.

Richie seems sad at Alolan Ninetales fainting, was it his main Pokemon? He sends out his next Pokemon Espeon. Another fast Pokemon. Your Sylveon is undeterred and you order to...

...Use Return. She does as told and so OHKOs the psychic mon, so eventually the last mon was sent out, that being a Conkeldurr. It uses it's Quick claw and uses Circle throw. Despite being NVE, it still did a sum of damage and you were forced to switch to your Lilligant. Thankfully, it tanks a Hammer arm before OHKOing the Conkeldurr with a critical Giga drain. And just like that, you won the round.

You fought Ellen in Round 1, a Psychic Leader in Round 2, your battle with Richie was Round 3, and your battle with Danielle tomorrow (the final) will be Round 5. What about Round 4? He explains that the two trainers who have made it to the semifinals along with you and Danielle have gone missing. He had hoped to distract everyone from the fact that they were missing by announcing the final battle of the tournament, so as not to start a panic. Most people here would be gullible or stupid enough to fall for this. He then asks you all to keep this a secret from everybody, and also says not to worry about it and just focus on the battle tomorrow. After the announcer leaves, you, Danielle, Richie, and Steve decide to try to find the missing trainers. You all decide to first start searching...

You approach him and he says he is researching how to beat the fearsome Pokemon that is held by 'Professor Beech's daughter'. Danielle smiles and asks 'This One? Tiamat Go!' To your surprise a female Salamance jumps out of the Pokeball. 'There's a place in Alola where Bagon become Salamance unusually early.' She says as if it's common knowledge.

The book reading trainer is now cowering in terror under the table at the site of the Dragon. The trainer is in no condition to fight meaning Danielle is in the Final by walkover.
