it would be really cool if GF would bring back lots of the old Hoenn aspects, like the ORIGINAL secret bases ( not the underground crap ) and like someone said earlier, a trick room/ master.

If, It's there you can go to Hoenn.;)

i hope, if u think about it the hoenn region had the biggest impact out of all the games :P and still my fav

True,so true it did have a great impact on the games. I want a full remake for Hoenn though, but we could visit Johto so that Johto doesn't vanish forever... until the remakes of HgSs wow, remakes of a remake... i got to go lie down now.

I also think they could make a bigger region than what we've seen before, and it would be cool. But my question is how much space does the information for HG/SS take up on the DS cartridges, and how much information does it take to fill it?

It would be cool to see them push the DS to the limit and make a great game, but then we would have to hope the next gen handheld will be able to store more information so they can top it. Otherwise they might make a game that will disappoint.

Moar Region speculations... Maybe something on the northwest part of japan? They haven't got anything, like the Kantou, Kyoto, Hokkaido and all that ^_^;

But yeah, that Hoenn-Johto are looks nice. Makes sense that it would be close to the remak- Oh wait, that has never happened before, has it? Hoenn was far away from Kanto, and Sinnoh far away from Johto... Come to think of it, if you were able to travel to Hoenn in BW, wouldn't that kinda take away the whole biggie about the RS remakes? >_>

Personally, I don't want this region to be based on a Japanese region, I want them to spread further out into the world, make it shaped like the UK&Ireland or Australia, or maybe evn Italy and the surrounding area but try to stop using Japanese regions.

oh, well then I hope that the new region is in the Tohoku Region of northern honshu...well they can't use all of tohoku cause it's huge, maybe around Aomori/Morioka/Akita prefecture...that area has the oga peninsula which had what was Japan's 2nd largest lake..Either that or Kansai region (it has largest freshwater lake). What do you think?

Kansai region [https://mapsof.net/uploads/static-maps/japan_kansai_region_large.png ]

Yes! The top one is the one I want, though it's not close to Hoenn, but Sinnoh... Unless they could be a transportation (Plane?), to Hoenn, if they're to add it in the game, that'd be nice :) Maybe for the third installment. But with a plane, they could also go to Kanto/Johto, so that doesn't seem feasible.

As kinda mentioned in my post earlier; I don't think I've made this clear anough:
Why would you be able to travel to Hoenn anyway? Sure, it'd be cool and all, but then what would the point be of making a RS remake? I'd say bring us new places and save Hoenn for the remake games...

Well they could reach Kanto and Johto (if they do allow you to go back) by bullet train since they're on the same island. Hoenn...hmm well I don't know about that! I would say they could go by boat, but that would take too long. Plane is a more reasonable way to go, it could work but I don't see them incorporating planes into pokemon. Hoenn could be reached by bullet train too, just an underwater one. That would be neat. Especially if there was some sort of huge underwater station or city that was at the halfway point where you could battle other trainers.

One can dream right :(? I get your point, that would completely destroy a Hoenn remake. I doubt they would allow us to travel back to Sinnoh either since the Hoenn remake MAY include that..or they're planning a D/P/Pt remake for years down the road. I would like it though if the new region is huge (possibly more cities/towns, routes, and maybe moer than the traditionally 8 gyms). Sinnoh was pretty big, but at some parts I don't think they used the huge landmass to an advantage. Despite me wanting a huge region, I have a feeling though that the new region won't be big since Sinnoh used all of Hokkaido and Hokkaido is pretty darn big. I don't see them using up large chunks of Honshu either because they may save them for future gens...Soooo, maybe they should make a new set of islands or a smaller sub-region for after game play in Black & white instead of traveling back to Hoenn?

I'm pretty sure BW would constitute as a Hoenn remake. Kind of how GSC is basically the original Kanto remake. But they did make FRLG afterwards. I'm not to huge on a Hoenn remake. I mean it's my favourite region so I definately want to go back but not nessecarily to play the same story again...

In reality though I don't see GF skipping out on a money making oppertunity like RSE remakes. =/

I have to agree with Waffle-San here, GSC never disturbed Nintendo when they made FRLG. And HGSS.

Technically, Blue/Yellow were the first "1st gen remakes". They remade the games, adding more features...

And I hope Hoenn would reprise in Black and White, but won't have a remake. I'm tired of remakes, and since the next console is 3DS, the next generation of Pokemon (6th) should be released to 3DS and hence have backwards support, so we won't need it.
Plus, there are so many ways (and new ways to come) to catch 200-300 different Pokemons in a different cartridge and make it sound reasonable now. Especially with the Pokewalker, the new Safari and that thing with DPPt where you see moving grass patches (err forgot the name...)

I hope there's pre-evolutions/evolutions of the non evolving pokemon;
Farfetch'd
Kangaskhan
Pinsir
Tauros
Lapras
Ditto
Aerodactyl
Unown
Girafarig
Dunsparce
Qwilfish
Shuckle
Heracross
Corsola
Delibird
Skarmory
Stantler
Smeargle
Sableye
Mawile
Plusle
Minun
Volbeat
Illumise
Torkoal
Spinda
Zangoose
Seviper
Lunatone
Solrock
Castform
Kecleon
Tropius
Absol
Relicanth
Luvdisc
Combee (Male)
Pachirisu
Chatot
Spiritomb
Carnivine
Rotom

I'm sure some of them will, either that or more non-evolving pokemon.
OMG! Lower case Unown FTW!!! :D

that thing with DPPt where you see moving grass patches (err forgot the name...)
I believe you'e referring to the PokéRadar.

Why did I not catch that? THAT WOULD BE SO COOL! They would be called Unnites. Not sure about the ! and ? ones though...

hmm, hows a bout a . and a ,
we haven't had those yet.

If we get an Unown pre-evo, then an evo is positively neccessary for those worthless Pokemon.

To get the pre-evo (I like Prince of the Seas idea so let's call 'em Unnites) you'd have to have an Unknown and a Ditto in the Day-Care. Similar to Manaphy, the Unnite that is produced won't evolve into an Unown. This keeps the novelty of the Unown being "legendary" while giving us lower-case Unown.

The evo would be more complicated. Let's call it Orikey (Original Key). To get Orikey, you'd have to have successfully captured an "O" Unown, and bred an "r", "i", "k", "e", and "y" Unnite. Then, you'd organize them in your party in this order: 1st slot: O, 2nd slot: r, 3rd slot: i, 4th slot: k, 5th slot: e, and 6th slot: y. With your Pokemon in this order, revisit the (example) Ruins of Alph. There, the Unown and Unnites in your party would "react" to the area's psychkinetic energy and cause them to merge together to become Orikey =)

What'cha think?

I'd say thta's pretty well thought out, and it would beat Metagross for being made of teh most Pokemon

Aah, that is true!! I guess technically they've remade Kanto like 4 times...0.o
Yeah I'm all for the return of regions but why not just give them a different story instead of constantly remaking the same story over and over again...
(Also the plural form of Pokemon is Pokemon)

I would like to see a funner way to ev train pokemon, like though mini games, like you train your pokemon by running and capturing berries in a mini game and then it get's 1 Sp ev yield but it has a Maximum amount the game can yield out for that pokemon at that level. It would make ev training more than just battling it will also allow for easier ways for people who don't ev train to ev train...without knowing...

Yesyesyesyesyesyesyesyesyes...You should work for Gamefreak xD

Of course EVs may be removed as Gen V is suppose to change EVERYTHING as we know it...dundundun...
