Wow, this was a different perspective, its got me reconsidering. Guess there is really no telling at this point.

NO, NO, NO, NO, NO!!! I don't like it. The middle ones butt is huge! Though it would suck if that is how they looked....though magmaruby said it would be neat to have a grass/flying...well...what if that is how the grass one looks? Then I guess it would be part flying :)
Though it's pretty obvious that those two leaves are where its head is (has to be, that huge thing can't be a butt)...but if it is..then idk what gamefreak was thinkin'.

Could the one on the right be a platypus! :o They have tails like beavers too.

lol, do you know how ugly platypuses are? they have that huge beak-like thing for a mouth....imagine fire coming out of that.

Those silhoettes only look better because they are easy to identify... these are hard... real silhoettes are hard to identify... remember zoroark

Some thought it was a wolf, others a werewolf though some were right with fox but still people thought it was a mightyena evo, including me...

I couldn't think of anything when I first saw the silhouette. All I could think of was that it was gonna be a different Pokemon than what we've already seen, something way different But when Zoroark was released, what it looked like, I wasn't expecting

you know damn well they arent gonna make them the mascots, we will probably get a couple lame legendaries like always& then the 3rd version will have a cool legendary *points at D/P/Pt*

That was before we had version exclusive/opposing legendaries. They could have used the birds as the mascots for red, blue and yellow though....

Grass is always on top with fire, and water after in a counter clockwise circle.

this doesnt have the circle but it shows the order.

Yeah, i understand you very well, poor starters we have yet to see how they really look and what moves they have, type combos,evos,ect. If people are acting like this with the base forms i can only imagine what people are going to say when we get their evo's... wonder if corocoro will show their evos with them in their scan like they did with Zoroarks pre evo, zorua.

I don't know what people think is so bad about these silhouettes. Most Pokemon would look awful if all you saw was their outline.
I have faith that these starters will be very nice looking. That bottom right one has me especially curious.

The tail on the one in the left is curved at the bottom like a leaf and doesn't look like fire but then again neither does the pig... but it's a member of the chinese zodiac in which fire starters are based on.

The first thing that came to mind when I saw the silhouettes was the one with the spiral tail closely resembling turtwig

Anyways I don't see how anyone can dislike them considering they're just silhouettes and that they each have two more evolutions...and the middle one looks absolutely adorable to me. Does the left one remind anyone else of the bird from Up!?
